  1. I am proud to say that all my cars are well sorted out. They all run and drive as they should and did from the factory. Now and then as with all cars a little something, sometimes more than a little will pop up. (No pun intended) My OCD will not allow me to not fix any things that do and will eventually happen. P.S. I have learned from experience and being judged many times that as most owners/people and judges will say no car is perfect, but we mostly all try hard to have them that way.
  2. Congratulations, Steve. Welcome to the club. It is a great feeling to see your own car(s) in a magazine. Received my copy yesterday here in Weschester County, NY
  3. Email sent. Thanks in advance for any information you may have to pass along at this time.
  4. Ferrari with Factory Custom Paint. Forgot the model name/number, will ask for more info, but it is a $800,000 plus price.
  5. Had the car out Thursday again for Ct. Cafe Racers lunch. Am in love with the car and how it runs. Just might be the last drive of the year if as usual the local County and Towns go crazy salting the roads when a expected flurry comes through this coming week. Just a few photos of the cars at the lunch. Always an eclectic group of cars and great friends.
  6. Blue Ridge Parkway is my favorite. Will try to do the entire lenghth again this year. We also love looking up different states Scenic Byways and touring them and surrounding areas.
  7. Yes, I can't blame you on that choice at all. 😉 Very handsome couple. Perfect for TV.
  8. It is past peak here in Westchester County. Still just about peak in NYC. Car getting set up for loading to the Chicago area. Heading to The Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals this weekend in Rosemont IL
  9. Thank you. I remember the Hart to Hart TV show. Always liked Robert Wagner.
  10. Just stayed in Va. Beach for the night on the way to Hilton Head Island for the Concours. Stayed at the Cavalier Hotel properties. The Cavalier is from the 1920’s. Once the premier hotel for big bands in the country. Renovated in 2014. Long history. Beautiful hotel with great rooms, the dining room restaurant was beautiful, lounge areas, etc all beautiful. Well worth the visit. Stayed at their new beautiful Embassy Suites across the street on the oceanfront. Opened February 2023. On the Cavalier ocean Club property along with the club and a Marriott hotel. Lovely group of hotels. Will be staying at the Cavalier itself in the way home Monday night.
  11. Hi Dave, We are on our way to the Hilton Head Concours with our 1973 Buick. Should be there today around 3. Thanks for everything so far. Looking forward and excited to seeing you and everyone else there on the tour, the Friday evening Cocktail reception and then the show field Sunday. This should be a fun tour and Concours.
  12. Congratulations, Roberta, Denny and Alan. All the other Buick winners also. Well deserved! 😎
  13. Put 318 miles on the car the last two weekends. Last week was a small classic car tour. Started in New Canaan Ct to almost the Massachusetts border and ended up in Kent Ct for a great catered lunch. The foliage was at peak. Was a wonderful drive with really nice back roads done at a good pace. Yesterday was a top down drive on what may be the last really nice day this year. (80* +) to Hyde Park NY and then to Rhinebeck NY for lunch. Car is running great and so far am very pleased with it.
  14. Anywhere and any shelf I can find room on in my library man cave. No rhyme or reason. A combination of 1930's to present Auto racing, race car driver biographies, auto racing yearbooks, Automobile Quarterly's etc. Seems my collection of regular biographies keep losing space on my library shelves. Those end up in an large armoir TV Cabinet in the space where the old TV used to be in the family room. (Couldn't fit a big screen TV in it) My collection of Britannica Book of the Year's since 1939 to when they stopped publishing in 2018 are in danger of the same fate. My books are an addiction like cars, racing, car shows, etc.
  15. Yes, we did. Was very cool and interesting. Loved the hotel so much my wife made me send a application to enter a different car in the Concours two years later just to be able to have an excuse to go again. Even picked out our special rooms. 😎😇
  16. Don't forget the inimitable Greenbrier Hotel, Greenbrier, West Virginia. Home of the Greenbrier Concours. This is more modern than some of the other grand hotels shown.
  17. Thanks. Looking forward to showing it with the AACA next year. Maybe get to take it on a tour also once the 2024 calendar comes out.
  18. See you there. Come by and say hello. This is the car I am taking to MCACN for the Class of '73 Invitational 50th Birthday.
  19. Not known. The tag in the engine compartment just says SCO - -. The breakdown sheet from the Buick Archives doesn't say what the 4 O Code built car colors were. This was common practice with GM for years. This car has mostly all the original paint. I own the car for 19 years and have never seen this Yellow on any other make of car. It's probably a custom color. Believe me I have looked at a lot of different Yellow cars Foreign and domestic.
  20. Thanks. The color is a SCO special order. it is 1 of 4 Code O for Other. (Non GM Paint) Documented by the Buick Archives at the Sloan Museum. This car was a Columbus Ohio Zone Office ordered car.
  21. My 1973 mostly all original Buick Gran Sport SCO Yellow Stage1 Sun Coupe just won People's Choice at the 2023 Audrain Concours Sunday October 1. To say it was a huge surprise and honor is an understatement. I am still stunned and pinching myself as if in a dream. This car always exceeds my expectations. 2022 Senior Grand National, BCA Gold, 2023 Simeone Museum's Philadelphia Concours "Best in Class", etc. This has been an exceptional year. Next up is the Hilton Head Concours with my Harvest Gold 1973 Buick Gran Sport Stage1 Four Speed . I do not ever expect to win anything, just getting invited is an honor. I heard about the AACA Grand National Class at the Hilton Head Concours on the forum so I sent an entry. Will not be in the Grand National Class, but they did invite the car to be in another class instead.
  22. My apologies for not posting photos earlier. The event went very well considering the rain. The turnout was good. Being with great Buick friends old and new was the best part. Getting to Tour Lancaster again which is one of our favorite places to visit and eat great food was a bonus. Was a pleasant surprise to find out at the Awards dinner that we won Best in Class with our 1973 Gran Sport Stage1 Sun Coupe. After the show early Saturday morning we went to Philadelphia for the Cool Kids for Cars Philadelphia Concours at the Simeone Museum and won the Best in Class Muscle Car. Was a great experience to say the least. Hopefully the Morgantown event will become a regular addition to the event calendar. The Tri Region did a great job. Looking forward to the BCA Nationals in Ohio next year
