1971 Cadillac Eldorado convertible - 13,500 CAD - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

It looks like a decently cared for land yacht. Only downside I could think of is trying to build a garage big enough to fit this in! :D

71 cadillac eldorado convertible."Maxine" 500 CI engine Front wheel drive. Automatic transmission I've owned it for almost 2 years and have put a lot of work into it. Safetied until may 2024. New white walls this summer. Runs and drives nicely. Could use some tune up work. A couple small leaks, oil pan, steering fluid cover gasket. Black leather, black top. Top works but needs replacement. Never worried about it as I never took her out if there was a hint of rain. Original fiberglass parade boot...rare to find. Paint and chrome are in great shape. Some electrical issues in the cabin but I think it's mostly fuse related. Hate to part ways with her, but she just takes up too much space in the garage.

Sharp car, but too many issues for the asking price.

Ya was surprised it's not something like 15k. Been sitting since the summer so not surprised.

Other big issue - black interior

Up here that's not as big of a thing but ya I agree it'd be brutal as a southern cruiser

My aunt gave me a 71 just like this, except it was green on green. It was a dark green, so not too horrible. I drove it my junior year of college. I forget  what I did with it after that. It was a pretty nice car though, I think 71K original miles.

I still have a factory NOS dash pad for it hanging around somewhere.

I always laugh when a seller mentions electrical issues being fuse related. If that were so, wouldn't they have replaced them? It's never fuse related...

Be glad this person was too lazy to attempt a repair.  If he did, it would likely have involved a small piece of aluminum foil.  He probably has a home fuse box full of 30 Amp fuses...

I was surprised he had a couple of pics with the top up. Didn't look too bad, but would definitely need a personal inspection. That's the first year for the dreaded scissors top. The paint is gorgeous! That's probably when those small trim items got lost.

Top looks like a replacement. Not sure why it would warrant another replacement-maybe to fix a bad installation?

I never had any trouble with the scissor top on my '71.

Looks like the self-leveling rear suspension has been replaced with air shocks.

Prices on these have stayed low (seems especially so when it's time to sell), so maybe $10-12K US for this one?

Or better yet, spend a little more and get one without the issues. Chasing problems on these can get expensive quick.
