If this car has no rust, I think it will sell readily

without any price adjustment.  Even a 4-door

sedan of a finned Mopar car is desirable.

Absolutely, color combination and the fins make this a great looking car. If this was a two door, who knows what the price would be.

Two door, four door, doesn’t matter to me, both look the same from behind the wheel!

Isn't that the truth! Haven't had one person say to me "too bad it isn't a 2 door".

Yes it's missing the hood ornament, the whole car should probably be repainted and I don't see how someone could expect to get $13,500 for a 4-door sedan in this condition with a visible sheet metal patch on the right rocker panel by the passenger front door. There might be more rust in the rockers & floors than the pictures show too. It needs the rubber door weatherstrip replaced, the carpet (or whatever it is) is incorrect and the interior kick panels are missing. IMO the comparatively priced ($14K) brown & beige 59 Dodge Coronet 4-door hardtop in Rockville, MD that's been linked to the Forums off & on for the past several months with several price drops is a better buy than this green & white sedan. They're only about 125 miles apart. Neither are what I would call a luxury car and they're both aggressively priced  but the MD car price keeps coming down.

Should this car have a hood ornament? Why is the front left fender and the left rear quarter a different "white" from the rest of the body?

Out west, you'd be hard pressed to get $8k or $10k for this "grandma" car.

Car of the Week: 1959 Dodge Royal sedan - Old Cars Weekly

I think that you might be surprised what it would bring. I attended an all Chrysler, Dodge, Desoto and Plymouth meet in the San Fernando Valley just north of L A about six years ago. It was a three day meet with about 1000 cars and I saw many beautiful cars, but very with the large fins.

I guess theres a butt for every seat, but this one looks pretty rough for the asking, obviously I dont know what Im talking about though.

I think that these cars turned to dust in the Rust Belt. So maybe there aren't a large quantity of them around. Even the four doors were scarce as they were valuable parts cars.

I agree there are not many around. It just looks to me like the car posted needs a lot. Lots of rust around the door inner edges, steering wheel cracked, weatherstripping all looks bad, paint looks original but has issues all around. Int. is not perfect. Dont get me wrong, it looks like a pretty decent solid car, but I would never spend the asking for the condition especially for a 4 door. My grandmother had something around this vintage, I remember it have large fins on the back and being about the ugliest thing I had ever seen, my oldest brother got it when she passed away, I was only about 6 or 7 and really know very little about it. I do know that it was full of rust when he got it, that was around 1970.
