Twisted Shifter
My kid's list to Santa:
1937McBuick
nick8086, looks like....... Older boys = more expensive toys. Twisted Shifter, my kids are old enough to have made their Christmas lists from the Sears Christmas catalog. Simple page numbers and written descriptions, that seems easier than the Da Vinci code or Enigma code type of list you got from your kid. Progress at its finest, progress with the times or get left behind.
richasco
If you going to get him the floor jack, go for the Daytona branded one. Those have a 3 year warranty.
EmTee
I've had my HF floor jack for several years now -- great value!
TAKerry
I too have that floor jack. Very happy with it. IF you get the hand cleaner go for the towells as well!! Mom saved my Christmas list from when I was about 7 or 8. Had it framed and gave it to me for my gift a couple of years ago. It was priceless. And yes I was picking from the Sears wish book.
Walt G
If he has a big capacity stocking hanging from the fire place get him the shop towels - never ever have enough of these and for the quantity they are very reasonable $. Most of the tools you show are to modern to fit/use what I need to work on the cars I own. Get him a subscription to Crankshaft magazine too, something to read while resting from working on the cars....................... You already answered the question. My advice: rather than turning the holiday into a time of ritual giving, forget the commercialism that would take your time and money. Instead, spend Christmas in quiet appreciation with family and friends. 2

Frank DuVal
Instead of Fast Orange, get Mean Green hand cleaner. Waaayyy better, but odd to use, as in you use just a dab. Hard to teach the guys in the shop the proper way to use it, but once they caught on, it was wonderful. I see someone bought them, now it is : https://fullboreproducts.com/ I still have a lifetime supply from when I had the shop... Since so little is used each time. And skip the rubber wheel chock, just give him and old Ford starter , 70s 80s style, works great. Something like this:
nick8086
Not sure about car parts to use on a car as a stop.. If you know anyone that works on these pm me.. I need to get rid about 15 to 25 of them.. Can drop off in Omaha or St Paul MN.. Yes you have to buy them.. But not tested and just cleaning the shop. I think it has been 10 years since I looked at them.. I never listed them.. Too much to ship..
Gary_Ash
I've shipped a generator in a USPS large flat rate box. Current price is $22.45 to anywhere in U.S. Box size is 12" x 12" x 5-1/2". "If it fits, it ships!" Something like this: Heck! A short length of 4 x 4 is able to stop my wife from hitting my workbench when she barrels into the garage. Its a "cheap chock" ...should hold most any stationary vehicle. Put a Christmas bow on it.
