This is very very tempting. I believe original paint. 44K miles. Little bit of wear here and there..

 

for the uneducated Avanti enthusiast among us. The combination of the R2 supercharged engine, with the four-speed, and the traction lock, is fairly hard to find.

This is a good comparison with the other Avanti I posted. It’s a much cleaner nicer car. But non supercharged automatic. Price is significantly less.

Overall a great time. Tuesday was a washout, but we made the best of it. I really didn’t have a want list, but did manage a 12volt horn for my White. Found a few small trinkets to flip……..we figure we paid for the airfare,hotel, and gas with just a few items. A 7 day zero cost vacation visiting countless friends. Good to see everyone, and sorry I missed some of you. Back to the shop Monday.

HK500 - like this 1961 example here in NZ. The current owner is 60 and his dad bought it when son was still at school.

Extremely nice cars, pitty they have become so expensive. Only around a thousand of the large Facel Vega 2 doors were built. Not extremely rare , but hardly common either. Not a big fan of the 4 doors or the small sports cars although I could probably be tempted by one of the sports cars if the price was reasonable enough. But even they are quite expensive these days despite their mechanical problems and very limited parts availability
