suchan
Sharp car, but the dirt and rust (and price) dim the enthusiasm a bit. 6
classiclines
And don't forget the dented trim and missing trim... ...wonder how many of these are still around?
Bloo
306 V8? Really? Pushbuttons on dash for the cast iron Torqueflite it would have come with, and an aftermarket floor shifter too. Original transmission was cable shifted. Will the aftermarket floor shifter even work on a cable shifted transmission? If it did it would still be odd because the Torqueflite had no "park". it used the parking brake instead. The parking brake was on the tailshaft. Maybe it has a different transmission? A Chrysler transmission new enough to have a linkage instead of a cable will only bolt on engines back to 1962, not 1957. Now that begs the question "what is the engine?". Chrysler Corporation made so many different displacements in that period it would make your head spin, but to the best of my knowledge 306 was NOT one of them. There's not a single picture under the hood. Edited February 15, 2022 by Bloo (see edit history)
Gearheadengineer
Cool car, but for that kind of money it should have a tailgate that isn’t rusting from the inside out. That back window has probably been leaking for years.
Dosmo
Wonder if the engine might actually be a 360 V8, meaning the 306 reference is a typo? I'm thinking the 360 V8 was first released in the early 1970s, which might explain the floor shifted automatic transmission... Just pondering out loud... 3
kingrudy
I really am a fan of these big wagons of the 50's, but there is just too much wrong with this car to approach 30K. My advice to seller would be to explain the trans situation, clean it up a best as you can (car wash and wax) and get rid of the wide whites. Then you can tell what you are really trying to sell.

TerryB
The turn signal setup is an aftermarket add on held in place with a big clamp.

The 55er
$29.5K? Seriously? If the seller is stating his wagon was very well taken care of and ready for another loving home, then it must be true despite the sagging sunvisors & missing kickpanels. Lots of dented and missing trim too. Has the car been driven on the road lately? Where are the lower taillights/ backup lamps? If the tailgate's that rusty, the rockers & rear quarters can't be much better. Way overpriced for what it is IMO.

Guest
Well he's going the right direction. Drop another $9,500 off that asking price and I think he'll be in the ball park.
JACK M
Unfortunate about the shifter and the signal switch. And the rusty tailgate (and who know about other areas). Other than that and the still 10K overprice I like this car.
