harvest
picked up a truck yesterday that was local from being stored nearly 50yrs (1970 inspection sticker) and was trying to figure out how many of these were built? couldnt believe that the tires still hold air and engine turns over. my intentions are "just to get it running". appriciate any knowledge that can be shared with production number info. this is orig 6cyl engine 👍 3

harvest
Yes Craig, no restoration on this truck. I do have a large garden and small orchard that the truck will work with.
46 woodie
Get it running, make it safe to drive and it will be the hit of any car show you take it to! In the condition it's in, it will draw more attention of any car at the show.

Restorer32
Martin Parry was located in York, PA. The building still stands and has been turned into low income housing I believe. Just passed it Yesterday.
1937hd45
Great find! Looked at the first photo and thought that looks like it was in Pennsylvania. Funny how some cars/trucks just have that look. Glad it will keep that as found look. Bob

motoringicons
Model As with similar Martin Perry bodies are rare but occasionally appear. A Chevrolet would be a lot rarer. Congratulations on a great find. Enjoy!
Dandy Dave
Wow. 🤪 🙃🤩 Agree. Leave it alone cosmetically. Do what you have to do to get it up and running and safe and just enjoy this time capsule from the Dirty Thirties. Very cool. My old unrestored model 15 White draws a crowd like flies to cow flop. People just past by all the shiny vehicles that thousand were spent on just to see it in it's working clothes. I've had crowds as large as 30 or 40 just watching it sit there and run, and it will just sit and idle for hours at a show and not over heat. Dandy Dave
Also, there is a Chevy parts truck not far from here that you can have for the taking if you want it. It is ruff but things like the carburetor and distributor are still on it. No radiator though. Parts is parts. I'll take a little ride and get some photos if you like. Dandy Dave! Professor
I had to show this to my wife... absolutely amazing. It would be cool if you could leave it cosmetically unrestored... but there is NO WAY I could do that myself. This said, I do think it would be better left as is with only a mechanical restoration. Awesome find! Joe
8E45E
Even though this one was restored, it still drew a lot of attention Craig
