I JUST LOVE THE PICTURE OF THIS BUICK...........

Elderly lady with a bouquet of flowers standing next to a 1941 Buick Century Model 61 4 door fastback in two-tone green (Ludington Green-upper; English Green-lower?)

(But the name that stuck in the minds of the public was the Buick label, Sedanet. Consumers applied the name to all the GM fastbacks, often adopting their own alternative non-GM spelling, “Sedanette.”  Buick stayed with the Sedanet designation throughout its fastback phase, embellishing it to Jetback Sedanet in 1950.)

This picture is from a April 1949-dated Kodachrome slide in my classic car slide archive.

1968 Riviera GS without vinyl top with trailer hitch & California plates (date cannot be made out).

It looks like the Perry and Ruth are heading out to a birthday party or maybe they are leaving a recent visit with Perry's sister Marge.

No matter how much I try to adjust the tone and saturation of this image, the car's paint appears to be a shade of light metallic green .

Maybe it was repainted a light metallic green during it's lifetime.

Image from an undated and unannotated "Drewry Photocolor" transparency in my classic car slide archive.

Based on the clothing and luggage styles and the boxy car seen directly above and beyond the Riviera, I am guessing this photo was taken sometime in the late 1970's or in the 1980's.

I remember watching them as a kid in the early to mid 50's.  Is she the 1st or the 2nd Lois?

This is Phyllis Coates, the 1st Lois Lane on the original TV series. She was replaced in the 2nd season by Noel Neil, the actress most of us are familiar with.

Cool-quiet showers... hmmnnn...might have sold better if they fixed the water heater. 😁

Warm sticky days without A/C in your Buick?

A Cool - Quiet shower (and relief from the kids punching, and calling "are we there yet?) might be just the ticket !
