Grandpa
Front disk brakes & chrome bumper - - - Likely American car of late 1960s to early 1970s.Grandpa
Erndog
Judging by the rear suicide door, I would guess a lincoln.

Dave@Moon
Judging by the rear suicide door, I would guess a lincoln.I don't think so. The opposite side of the car has what looks like the remains of a door, which clearly has what looks like a side impact beam still attached. That would mean this car almost certainly was made in 1973 or later, too late to be a suicide Lincoln. Also those Lincolns had push-button door handles, and this car appears to have had a pull-type.I also think it looks like a smaller car, perhaps Dart or Nova sized. Jim Rohn
It is NOT a Ford product, the rear axle looks to be GM ...I am guessing 72 because of the shape of the front bumper PLUS the reinforcing bar attached to the rear of itthe engine is upside down in the LR area of the car ... I don't recognize the exhaust manifolds Edited March 18, 2012 by Jim Rohn (see edit history)
28 Chrysler
May have been an American Motors car based on the opening for the door handle and small wheel base.
Bleach
I'm thinking it may be something along the lines of a Granada, Monarch or Versailles but the cut out in the front bumper has me stumped. The front brake caliper looks like one used on a Ford product.
Grandpa
The engine near the rear of the car may help ID the remains.Grandpa
Grandpa
This could be the engine from the car remains pictured.Grandpa

avgwarhawk
The cropped picture is the motor. Also looks to be the transmission. Its a long tail on the transmission. I would say its a Ford product.Edit: upon second look I would say its a GM product. The rear has a cover, Ford usually has the carrier that slides into the axle housing. Mark Simmons
Upon a quick look I'm thinking GM (1) 3rd member has a rear pan (2) trans, converter, and flywheel (3) lug spacing could be an Olds,Pontiac or Buick. Late 60's or early 70's

Hudsy Wudsy
My first thought is Aspen/Volare. Something about the door and the placement of the somewhat wide molding. I had one that was a color pretty close to the tan one this one. (Yeah, I know that it's been repainted). Also, the contour of the corner of the front bumper. Anyway, see what you guys think:
avgwarhawk
Could very well be a Chrysler product. The long transmission was Chrysler. I drove a Volare in my drivers ed class. Not the looker but it ran.The exhaust manifold looks Chrysler. Edited March 20, 2012 by avgwarhawk (see edit history)
Grandpa
The remains of the door on the CARcass picture appear to be of half door construction. In other words, no door structure above the door sill. The Volare shown above has a full frame on the door to support the window.Grandpa

Hudsy Wudsy
The differential appears to have a bolt-on cover. Can we rule anything out by that?
Bleach
I'm going to go with Dodge Aspen on this. The front control arm has no spring yet is sprung down indicating a torsion bar. The door could be missing the window frame. There's lots more missing on this car than that. The front bumper has a turn signal light cut out just like the Aspens did.The Aspens/Volares had a diff cover and the shape looks right.I used to own a '77 Volare wagon many years ago and there are lots of details on this wreck that remind me of it.
