  3. Did you try ebay. I typed fast four and came up with four engines. Some aren't fast fours but several look promising. This listed as a fast four but it looks earlier. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Early-Dodge-Brothers-4-Cylinder-Engines-And-One-Transmission-In-Minnesota/302355177640?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41376%26meid%3D82f1bc3480f54f0fbe2011691f550eed%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D292076407543
  4. The ones you have were turned by hand and you have the handle in your box.
  5. As you said you have a set of valve seat cutters and the long items are the ends that fit in the guides. These were used as long as engines have been around and are still used.
  6. whistle or compression release.
  7. Welcome to the forum. I think you are in the wrong forum with your question. You should ask this question in the Buick forum and then be more descriptive in what you want. Saying you want something in great condition is very broad. I am sure they can help you in how to identify the car you want and provide plenty of help in locating one. Lots of luck and make sure you join the Buick Club.
  8. Have you looking at getting a set of these. https://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?dir=asc&order=EAScore%2Cf%2CEAFeatured+Weight%2Cf%2CSale+Rank%2Cf&q=wheel+dolly
  9. I notice that the outlet of the filter hose is also kinked
  10. Where Link to listing. What will be there. Need more information.
  11. I would advise not using the type that fits into a drill. When you use the oscillating style you do not go all the way around the same each time which allows you to smooth the seat. If you use the style that fits a drill and you have a high spot on the valve it will not smooth it down but cut a groove around. You are not cutting a new seat.
  12. They must be smoking some good grass in Ill. Why do people think that they can blately lie, stretch the truth or shovel BS in these ads. If you are going to build a car at least make it look like something from the factory or call it a custom. There is nothing wrong with building a custom just be honest about it.
  13. I need a distributor housing, water pump and a piston for my 1923 Moon, and 1924 Star. Both cars are out of service for these items. I am in Ky so distance is an issue. Thanks Jan
  14. There is a facebook group dedicated to building speedsters which you need to join. It is very active and post several articles a day on designing and building speedsters. There are articles on building bucks, using alum., wood strip building, fibergrass, brakes, ect. Here is the link. It is a members only group but that should not be a problem. https://www.facebook.com/search/str/ford%2Bmodel%2Bt%2C%2Bmodel%2Ba%2Bspeedsters%2C%2Bcyclecars%2Band%2Bother%2Bmarques/keywords_search?filters_rp_author=groups(me)
  15. I would not use cardboard, as it is to stiff. I prefer roofing paper. It is stiff but still flexible and cheap. Get chalk and use it for marking. Styrofoam building material works great for bucks.
  16. Unfornatly they do not have a taper in the bottom of the cyc only a round over. My brother has a 1930 Hupp with the same issue.
  17. I know some early engines required that pistons be removed from the bottom due to the crank end of the rod end being to big to go through the bore. My 23 Moon engine is this way and it worked well on disassembly. Now the question is how to reassemble with rings. Option one is to push the piston back into the bore with the rings off and then install the rings, install the ring compressor and push it back down the cyclinder or: Option B: try and put a ring compressor on the bottom and push it back out the bore from the bottom
  18. I have four wheels, rims and tires from a Canadian 1930 series 40 touring in Ky if that will help. When I get around to it I will list the entire car.
