  1. Maybe???? Give them a call. https://oldbuickparts.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/1935-1960-Cars-Buick-Parts-Catalog.pdf
  2. "There isn’t any major rust on the car, as in no rust holes (or dents btw) whatsoever on the body of the car besides the front left fender that has some some Bondo and a rust hole smaller than a dime." I am not saying to buy or not to buy this car but: That rust hole, as described by you as smaller than a dime, will turn out to be much larger than that once you start "digging" into it. Rust tends to "hide" and be "deeper" than it looks. Also, the rust in the floors should be checked out to make sure it hasn't spread elsewhere, like to the frame.. The car looks to have been originally red but the passenger side front fender shows signs of a light green color which might indicate it was replaced at some point with a used fender. (Just me speculating!!) Check to make sure that there is no "underlying" damage on that side of the car. The main issue to be concerned about, as stated before, is rust, rust, rust. It may seem, from the outside, that there isn't much rust BUT you really need to do a deep dive into an inspection to confirm that. Just my opinion(s) Good luck
  3. I have a Coats 40-40(a)? I am thinking about selling. Works great - just taking up space now.
  4. I saw a Frazer recently and I was the 1st to call on it. I wanted to go look at it but the owner said he couldn't show it until the weekend. I gave him my # to call me back when he had time to show me the car. I get a call about 2 weeks later and he tells me had an offer on the car for the asking price in the ad and he asked me if I wanted to beat that offer. I told him to sell the car to the other person. I didn't NEED the car and I don't play that game and it has happened several times - seems to be the "new" thing - try to have an "auction" without really having an auction. BTW, that same car is now being flipped for 6 times what it sold for. Unbelievable!!!!
  5. "If you get tired of looking at these old Chrysler products just say so. " Keep em coming..........
  6. Bruce, I took some pictures and I will PM them to you later in the week. I am in NE Penna. Joe
  7. This is the kind of junkyard I used to frequent back in the 80's-90's Great just looking around and wondering about each car.
  8. I have ALWAYS used McCloskey's MAN-O-WAR marine spar varnish. I cannot remember if I used satin or semi-gloss but I did NOT use gloss. It holds up very well considering the limited exposure to the elements it gets. As I applied the 18 coats to the wood each coat became a little bit shinier BUT it did not have a "new car" shine to it. It has a nice "glow" to it and it also has a warm amber color to it - both which I prefer. I, for one (and just my opinion), do not like it when the wood looks like a very shiny fender. It sort of detracts from the wood and makes it look "fake".
  9. Could you post a picture(s) of your floor pan to see how bad the rust is. I looked at mine and it is solid with the exception of a small section by the master cylinder cover plate. This could be easily patched. I could take a few pics if you are interested. Joe
  10. I have a front floor pan (bolt-in section) for your car. I will take a good look at it to see what condition it is in. Because of the size shipping will be $$$$$ unless you can pick it up.
  11. But I'm not giving up: http://www.tncrestorations.com/
  12. Sorry to hear that. I think the way Dennis used to do it was he would apply it in pieces/sections and not in one piece. That way he would avoid the veneer splitting or cracking . You could try it yourself by "scoring" the backside of the veneer with a razor (in the direction of the grain) and possibly dampen/steam it so it is more pliable to bend/shape and may not split. Much like the way sheetrock is installed on curved walls I believe the factory (I could be very wrong) used a press to shape the veneer and install it onto the metal panel. Good luck
  13. Try Dennis Bickford. He specializes in T & C's He can redo the panels. I sent him a trunk lid panel from my 47 T & C sedan and he re-veneered it for me. Dennis Bickford, PO Box 1132 LaLuz NM 88337-1132 575-443-1160
  14. Pretty sure that Chrysler did offer a color either similar or exactly like this one for the top. Others were black, tan, blue (dark). There may have been more, too
  15. Well he can keep on looking cause this ain't it...... Richie's dad had a 1946-1948 DeSoto Suburban Sedan - a 9 passenger. I had 2 of them years ago - a 1947 & a 1949 - wish I still had them.......
  16. "She may have painted it silver, and she used it in her work at the Thailand Embassy in Washington, D.C. from 1965-1969. It is possible Presidents Johnson and Nixon, as well as Robert Kennedy and the Dulles friend, Dwight Eisenhower and who knows how many other dignitaries have ridden in this vehicle." And I MAY have been a millionaire in a past life. But I ain't one now...... It is also POSSIBLE that NONE of the people mentioned (and others not mentioned) even came close to the car or knew it existed. Maybe all that is true BUT there needs to be proof to make it worth stating.
