  1. Not mine. Couldn't help myself. What do you all think???? Any comments????? Possibly a typo (too many zeroes) in the price, maybe???? 1938 Willy truck - $50,000 ‹image 1 of 2› © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap 1938 Jeep fuel: gas odometer: 1000 title status: clean transmission: automatic I have two 1938 Willy trucks for sale.
  2. Reality will set in eventually Nice car but not a $30K one. More likely 1/3 (or less) than that price. Eventhough Mopars of the early 50's are solid, reliable cars there is a very limited market, especially for a 4-door sedan, as far as desirability and value. The price for this car is more in line to a Convertible in similar condition.
  3. Showoff!!!! How are my tools/sockets organized/stored? Some in 5 gallon buckets. Some on a shelf. Some on the ground. Some in tool boxes (about 10 tool boxes) Some in the car I am working on. So I would say mine are not "stored" or "organized" properly. But guess what????? I pretty much know where to find them when I go to look for them !!!!!!! If I was to "store" or "organize" my tools I would "lose" most of them.......
  4. Heat, spray lube, heat again. Do this as often as needed while gradually trying to work the plug free. Once you get the plug to turn a little then more heat,lube... and then tighten the plug, then loosen the plug, tighten the plug, loosen the plug....and continue to spray lube into the threads and work the plug back and forth (loosen/tighten). This will "clean" the threads of both the plug and the head of any rust/debris while decreasing the chances of the plug snapping off and/or stripping the head. I had 2 plugs that I thought would never come out without snapping off (or damaging the head) but with patience, some heat and lube and the loosen/tighten method I was able to remove them cleanly.

  6. Nothing said was aimed at you. Most everyone here knows who the "culprit" is
  7. Keith, I hear you. You tried to provide something for us car guys and some "culprit" (I'll use your word because I cannot say it nicely) took advantage of the situation. Too bad that's the direction our "hobby" is heading. More business than pleasure.
  8. First line of the ad: "FOUND IN A FIELD" - LITERALLY
  9. I just thought of something...... This is quoted from the ad: "Old car suicide doors" What are the odds, after clearing out the dirt from the inside, that there might be a body (or 2) in there???????? (and not necessarily from suicide - but that's what they will tell the police!!!!!) Then this would get REALLY interesting
  10. On a more serious note: Would be interesting to know the story behind this....🤨🤨
  11. "UPDATE TO LISTING!!! We have had two deals fall through because the wives said no! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, WIFE APPROVAL REQUIRED!" Time to "trade in" the wives😁😁😁
  12. "Price might be firm but I ain't too sure about the car"😁😁😁
  13. "You'd have to "dig really deep" to find a treasure like this" Not only in the dirt but in your pockets, too
  14. This is not your everyday "barn find" which is "buried" under boxes, crates, etc. On the contrary. This car was "buried" for many years and still has the original dirt on/in it (I did not want to wash it off - (probably because that's what's holding it together) Ran when parked Don't know the condition of the interior - (because I can't see it) Might need tires ????? This is/was like digging for treasure....... You will need to bring a trailer, shovel and a backhoe Probably can have it running in a couple of hours - (after spending days extricating it)😁😁😁😁
  15. If you look closely at the one picture (#2) it appears that there is some rust on the roof of the car (just above the rear window) and some peeling paint. The ad states that "poor storage" caused the damage. So that damage is consistent with the reason given
  16. "Make an offer! …. Had to put a price down for ad…." So puts a ridiculous price of $35K For that kind of money I would think you should get more than just the "restorable" Dataplate
