I would check to see if the diameter of the seat cables is the same size as a regular speedometer cable from the 50's to 70's. If it is, the universal cables come with an end that you cut the cable to the correct length and then install the end. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1311&_nkw=speedometer+cable+repair+kit&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=speedometer+cable&_osacat=0

In the 70's, my student ID at the Univ of Mich had my social security # as my student ID. Different world, different time. -
Go to a competent welder or radiator repair shop and they should be able to help you. If you want to try welding/soldering it yourself, fill the tank with water before you put a torch to the tank. Should not be that hard to fix.

Pictures of what you are working on and what you need?

And a note for the extinguisher in the kitchen. DO NOT mount it near the stove. Put it on the wall or cabinet opposite of the stove so you go away from the fire to get the fire extinguisher. I have seen many people put the extinguisher next to the stove, in the cabinet over the stove or under the sink. All of those are not good. I have ours mounted externally on the cabinet opposite of the stove. I too have multiple extinguishers in all of my garages. Both dry chem & CO2.

Period images to relieve some of the stress

Nice thought, but that is a bicycle track. The earlier pictures looked like the the boulevard. The Packard proving ground boulevard also has the same number of crossovers of the same design. -

Where are you located? Is there a machine shop locally that you can check with to make the axles? -

Can anyone help with identification of these parts
Larry Schramm replied to Jon Harris's topic in What is it?
You can use Zyglo penetrant wash to check for cracks in castings. That and an Ultra Violet light is the ticket. https://www.bergeng.com/category/magnaflux-zyglo.html -
These big headlights make sense as the car was owned by the Pacific Coast Borax Company in Death Valley. 107 years ago compared to today there was less than nothing there except the borax mines in Death Valley. Driving at night would be very dark. Getting to civilization from there at dark/dusk would be a very exciting event/ trip.

At first pass, it looks similar to a Weston-Mott axle, pre 1910.

Pontiac flathead straight 8 cylinder head from 1948?
Larry Schramm replied to Douglas Gilmore Brown's topic in What is it?
If you look at the two heads, among differences is the coolant outlet. One is round and the other is oval. -
Thanks for the reply and identification.

I have my enclosed car trailer insured by the insurance company that insures my vehicles, not Hagerty. It was no problem to insure it.
