  1. I would have had to drop the hammer on the '60! Problem with the opel, even at that price is that you need 3 more for parts cars!
  2. I see this one is damn near Minnesota. I have sent a request for more pics and info. Are you close by if I need an inspection?
  3. Lamar...yes, this one did go cheap. Seems like I've seen them go for over $300. If I had seen it, I definitely would have at least driven up the price!
  4. If the locking pins were that hard to remove, I'm wondering how you made out on the king pins themselves?
  5. How are you coming with this Patrick? Did you get it out? Have your radiator guy inspect everything closely and pressure test it. If he recommends recoring.....go ahead and do it. Prices are reasonable right now and that way you won't have to go through all this again. Also, pulling everything apart allows him to solder the pin holes from the front and the back making for a stronger repair. Unfortunately, the oldes "new" radiators I have seen are for '66 and up. What # cap are you using? My '59 states a 14# cap, but my radiator shop said to use a 7# to reduce the stress on the old metal. As far as a radiator shop.....look for the smallest shop with a little sign and no computer. Avoid those big fancy places.....they just want to toss new radiators in newer cars and don't typically have the expertise and experience to do a repair properly.
  6. You should pick this one up and save it Eric......would make a great "loaner" car!
  7. I was watching Chasing Classic Cars the other day and I was amazed to see a '54 go across the block at $95000.
  8. $1500 for the Opel, $4000 for the '60, and $6200 on the Rivi.
  9. OK '60 Buick Person; go for it, as long as they fit '59s!
  10. Not sure it's authentic, but I like "When better cars were built, BUICK built them"
  11. My Wildcat engine is painted Alpine green as well...it's a bit light, but not bad. The CARS color does look deeper/better. I haven't tried Hirsch. Someone else mentioned Ford Green? Might have to give that a try.
  12. I'm so Jealous! I took mine on 3/25/1988 in a 1980 Toyota Celica stick. (drove down to TN to pick up my '65 Wildcat Deluxe 2-door hardtop once school let out!)
  13. Sorry I missed that! I've seen a few of these go across the Ebay auction block, but this one was close by and in great condition!
  14. Seems like a fair price....what's wrong with it? Can you send more pics? Would look nice next to my '69 225 4drht! 59buick@gmail.com
  15. Please PM me your asking price. I may be interested. I agree, USPS flat rate is the way to go.
  16. Isn't this car a bit too new for you Eric?
  17. On my '58 Chevy, the locking pins could be installed either way, even though the manual stated a certain direction. If they won't come out one way, bang on 'em in the other direction. I had to have a machine shop remove my King Pins....they were so frozen they had to use heat in addition to a huge press.
  18. Try climbing in and out of a '65 Triumph Spitfire or similar and you'll find the Reatta is a breeze to get in and out of!!!!!
  19. Charles, thanks for your incredibly comprehensive collection of photos from the Nationals! I wish you would have taken me up on my offer to drive Lucille as well, but at least you enjoyed sitting in her. Spending time with you was one of the greatest highlights of the entire event for me! You are an absolute HOOT!
  20. Nice updated signature Ted.....although it still seems to be missing a few?????
  21. What specifically are you looking for Dave? Shirts, magnets, keychains, all of the above? I can imagine you probably had an entire additional bag packed for the trip back to the UK!
