  2. I think that 1968 Cadillac front shoes are 2.5 inches wide and will fit the Roadmaster.

  5. I tried to install the upper spacers in my '56 and I couldn't get the spring to compress enough to fit it in, so I left it off. No problem with noise or clanking.
  6. If you want to save gas, walk, take a bus or train. If you own a Buick I can't see how you would save gas. I drive them like I stole them.

  8. I JUST WENT THROUGH THE SAME PROCESS AND IT WAS A FAULTY SOLENOID RELAY. yOU CAN FIND THEM ON EBAY FOR 50 TO 76 DOLLARS.
  9. I believe that an electric windshield wiper motor from a '55 - '57 Chevrolet will interchange. The switch is on the motor and you use the original cable to operate it.
  10. Does anyone know how to remove the ignition switch shield in order to replace the ignition switch?

  13. I bought this car in 1995 in parts and finished it in 1998.
  14. The filter fits tight against the upper and lower lids the air cleaner. The cleaner element is almost 4 inches high.
  15. I have converted my 1956 Buick air cleaner from oil bath to paper filter. It can be changed back in a few minutes. You need a conversion ring from the 4 1/8" carb to a 5" ring on the paper element. And the filter holder itself. See pictures.

  17. I have used Pertronix units in all of my Buicks (at least 7 of them) and in 3 Corvettes for the last 25 years with absolutely no problems with any of them.
