  1. I drove my 1956 Buick 34 miles on Saturday for our Oakhurst Road Rattlers Car Club breakfast.
  2. I make the carburetor base plates and they are twice as thick as the stock ones.
  3. I converted all of my Buicks to Pertronix electronic ignition. No points, no condenser, no problems for the last 20 years.
  4. To register a car in CA: Contact the CHP and have them come out to your place to verify the VIN. Go to the DMV with the CHP VIN verification and tell them that you lost the title (pink slip), the registration and the license plates. They will issue you new plates, pink slip and registration. Easy peazy.
  5. I understand that 1952 through 1958 Roadmaster are all the same.

  12. Rear springs are interchangeable from 1954 to 1956
  13. Re: Shock absorbers. Fill them up to 1/8" below the top of the cover. This allows for heat expansion.
