  1. I have a 401 rebuilt short block from a 1963 Le Sabre JR code S/N 4J35514 for sale. Included are a set of 1964 heads, a 1964 crankshaft, 4 bbl manifold, new camshaft from Summit, new rocker arms and rods, carburetor, starter, alternator, exhaust manifolds, air cleaner, oil pump, fuel pump, water pump, PS pump, vibration damper, distributer, valve covers, valley cover, Pan, Gasket Set, Spark plugs, and new motor mounts. $1500.00 OBO. Located in central California. PM me for pictures (too many to show here).

  11. I took the '56 to our car club breakfast at Steve's Sportsmen's restaurant in Mariposa, CA. Total of about 35 miles.
  12. I installed front sway bars that were an inch in diameter. They helped with the ride very much. Less front end roll.
  13. There was a guy named "Booster Dewey" who was in Redding, CA or in Oregon that rebuilt power brake units.
  14. I like my old Buicks stock. I do appreciate modified Buicks and other makes, but I do not like being put in the same class with them at car shows.
  15. I do not run any regular 87 octane gasoline in any of my cars not even my lawn mower. It's crap. I run premium 91 octane in everything.
  16. I do not run regular 87 octane gas in anything even my lawn mower. I run premium 91 octane in everything. When I had my 1965 Wildcat I ran a 50/50 mixture of 100+ LL Av gas and 91 octane premium and it ran great. Good gas mileage and lots of power.
  17. All old Buicks will leak.

  20. Buick did not weld any part of the exhaust system. They were all clamped or bolted.
