  1. And here's where I found the link: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/3487/763964.html?1497532256
  2. This was on one of the Model T sites and I thought I would put it here. I'm using my phone and can't seem to be able to copy the text from there to here, but here's the link: https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/6162863466.html
  3. Never mind, I just flagged my own post and found out that is the report button. Now I feel pretty old, I thought that was like flagging an email...
  4. I usually brows using my iPhone and I can't see any way to report a suspect posting. Am I just missing it?
  5. Model A - you might be able to find a serial number on the drivers side rail top about foot forward of the cross rail to give an exact year
  6. I can see using graphite as more cars were black than colored. I'm actually surprised that this doesn't suggest spraying the undercarriage with used motor oil, I can remember my father doing this in a sand pit behind his shop in the 60's and won't speculate on the number of laws the EPA put in place since then...
  7. It's an aftermarket center mount lamp to help illuminate the center of the road and typically mounted on a headlamp bar. The bracket looks very universal to any mounting use.
  8. With the number of body tags held on with sheet metal screws I would be very cautious about that car. It alone speaks to being a poor "restoration"
  9. What part of Maine? I know a few people who might be able to help, but you have a large state and they may not be close to you.
  10. Thank you for the info, I never knew about the other Willys engine
  11. Wow, that is an awful ad - no pictures of the front end would make me curious, but to include the one with the very damaged steering wheel made me sick to think about how badly it was hit.
  12. I had a Jeepster with a Hurricane Six for a few summers about 35 years ago and it was a very good reliable engine with more than enough get up an go. I'm with Grog, what's the deal?
  13. You should try asking on the MTFCA forum, I'm sure that you will have an answer there.
  14. Having grown up in New England where a heavy coating of salt was Dumped on every snow flurry I remember the damage done to cars... I do remember a kid in high school that was trying to stuff a Corvair engine into a VW Thing but I can't remember if he ever had it running.
  15. Thank you, I always thought it was 27-8 but a larger series than the 70
  16. My first thought was Model T Ford aftermarket (original was steel) but A is a good possibility too
  17. How about the 77 one Keiser? I have the 77 in my collection and never knew that there were so many nearly identical emblems...
  18. I guess it was Lee Iacocca's doing, but I was never a fan of Corvairs. That being said, it looks like a very solid one whereas I always thought that they rusted out worse than Lee's Rustang...
  19. I personally agree with that sentiment...
  20. Depending on how much you want it, there's one on eBay now with the radiator shell for $275 but you would have to have it enameled to those colors once you bought it. I have no personal interest in this auction, just passing it along
  21. I'm not surprised at how quickly this sold, hope that it gets a good home and will be able to see it finished!
  22. Funny thing, but there's one on eBay for something like $5200.00 right now... and no, I didn't add one too many zeros!
  23. Sorry about that, it's a spell check thing with my phone... A few years ago ago (10, 12?) I sent pictures and measurements to Karla of a Chalmers Detroit emblem and am still amazed by her reproduction of it for another Forum member. I never met her personally but talked with her at that time and then lost touch. Please give her my regards!
