  2. The photo of the convertible is a great present!
  3. I rested a #four houk wheel and it fits the mount.
  4. Does anyone recognize this body? the overall length is about 102". the spare mount fits #4 houk or hayes wire wheel.
  5. I offered $10,000.00 but that wasn't enough!
  6. Not that it matters but the body is later than 1915. The cowl was lower and the seat riser was lower in 1915.
  7. It all depends on why you go to any particular swap meet. It was very pleasant catching up with old friends that were there. Noticeably absent were the Large motor homes with attached enclosed trailers. The content in terms of parts and projects and cars available at Bakersfield was dismal. If Chickasha was disappointing, Bakersfield would have been even more dispiriting. Although all of the spaces were sold at least 25% were empty. At peak time say mid-day there were no more than 25-30 buyers in any given row and they were vendors out shopping. I would say that there were more vendors than buyers. The meet this year was combined with the model T club. There were equal numbers of model T club vendors and HCCA vendors and T vendors were more exclusive in their wares. Many vendors were packing or packed up and gone by 2:00 PM on Friday.
  8. A copy of the Dodge Story, and or the Master Parts book published in 1927 would be most informative.
  9. I have a nice 1930 four door for parts. Give me a call 510 449-2350
  10. a larger car at least 120" wheel base based on the length of the doors, late 1920's with the outside door handles.
  11. If you really want to pursue this project, You might buy a four door sedan an use that as a base for the body. There are no convertible sedan bodies for that car anywhere in the world. Only 7 or 8 were built. supposedly only one remains.
  12. Maybe a visit to Jay Leno would help. http://www.nbc.com/jay-lenos-garage/photos/chrysler/388141
  13. One of the Oct 30 post photos includes some convertible top parts. Could this have been a convertible coupe?
  14. The item on the right in the second photo is actually a temperature gauge.
  15. I need all of the fenders and a radiator for a coupe restoration. Thanks, Bob 510 449-2350 cell
  16. I need a radiator and shell to complete a 1929 Desoto roadster. Thanks, Bob 510 449-2350
  17. I think the seller was jesting when he wrote that the car would would make a "perfect hot rod". A search of hot rod images on google indicates that there is virtually no interest in four door sedans as hot rods.
  18. The original method of removing and replacing the engine required 40 hours according to the flat rate manual. The body was removed to facilitate the removal of the engine and transmission. The only way to get the engine in and out with the body on is through the bottom of the frame and the transmission has to be out before. I usually relocate the transmission mounting yoke to the front of the bell housing and hang the engine in the frame and then mount the transmission. That is if the engine and trans are separate and with the body off.
