  4. one thing to remember is that the engine must be removed through the bottom. There isn't enough room to take it out of the top. The flat rate manual calls for 40 hours to remove and replace the engine. I assume that allows for removal of the body.
  5. the early car serial numbers were preceded by the letters CAR
  6. 1921 use the Johns Manville unless the transmission has been changed. the idler gear cover is flat on the earlier transmissions and have a bump on the later transmissions that used the North east speedo. one turned clockwise and one turned counter clockwise.
  7. It seems that you have a chassis that no one knows about.
  8. I was at their shop last year. I bought a 1930 Chrysler convertible from them. I asked at that time about the top. They weren't willing to make another one.
  9. That roadster would go nearly 60 miles an hour.
  10. remove the nuts holding the drive flange. Under the flange there is a large c-clamp type retainer. loosen the bolt and the clamp will unscrew. One side may have left hand threads. The wheel bearings are very expensive, they only had one application and the Dodge rear wheels was it.
  11. I had a set of these high speed gears in my 1917 roadster years ago. From my research I found that they only came in the 1917 Dodge roadster. They are unfortunately extremely rare. Bob Long did make high speed gears for the semi floating rear end. Those sets have been dispersed far and wide at this time.
