  1. The shop I used to work at, some of the tools were in different drawers then how mine have been for many years, I kept opening the wrong drawer. My socket storage system is; how close to last time I organized them it is, Re how neat the drawer looks.
  2. 1914-1927 Mechanics' Instruction Manual, bottom page 134, hot. Under "Valves" in the Engine section.
  3. The early electric lights just had a clear glass lens with no way to dim (LOL) the light. Up to when Ford started supplying the H style ribbed lens with high low brightness. Even Ford tried a flat glass lens with the upper part painted to help reduce glare for oncoming drivers. 4. Could have been made/converted for hit/miss engine or other use. Besides the Model T, they were made for other applications.
  5. lol I did just that on my Ford Model T huckster, only used the spray on stuff for recoating rubber coated bumpers and tool handles, before flexseal came out. Needed redoing every few years but looked ok. If I was to do it again, I would use the roll on stuff and go with thicker coating.
  6. General reply to situations where there are multiple items in a post such as this: When showing a group of items, put a card with a number on it close to each item. Makes replies easier to say No 1 is such and such.
  7. I was thinking about same thing.
  8. You might need to look into how the Wayfair act would affect your operation. How the Wayfair Act May Impact E-Commerce Business (transactcc.com) The law now covers collection and distribution of sales tax to all but 4 states for items sold online. I do not have any information how it would work in your case.

When you post you need to put the pertinent information in the title, so people know what you are working with, also, there is a Buick section down below if you have not seen it.
  10. 99.9% of the people looking at it would not know the difference re the changes made. For what it is, the price might be high. None the less, could still be a fun car to drive and own.
  11. Overlooked step when using any number of sealers esp silicon type: Don't seal all the way and allow to setup over night before fully tightening.
  12. The Stromberg OD-1 is an aftermarket carburetor built by Stomberg for the Dodge Brothers cars. I have several of the stock carburetors including the one in the photo that is now on the car and running. Thanks
  13. Thank you very much for the information on the LB-1. it will help in my search. While not really correct for my application, I think it might be made to work. I am also considering making an adapter to go between the OD-1 and OS-1 neck I have.
  14. I just click on "choose files" that should open where the photos are kept, if not directly, then open the file where they are. If you want to load more than one, hold down the ctrl button down and click on photos, then click open, they then should load. The file size for loading is pretty small here, so you might get a notice that not all photos could be loaded. Add the ones you couldn't in another post.
  15. If it has the angle iron that mounted the rear fenders along the edge where the fender meets the body: ended around 1918 or 1919 when Dodge went to the wider bodies. My 1920 touring went the same way, being made into a pickup. The guy that started putting a different back half on did not know about the changes, so the current back half on it is the older style being both narrower and not as tall but the doors close. How about posting some photos of it, including the dash board.
  16. No one thought to ask what wheels he has. Could be disk or it could be wood. Different approaches to removing them for both.
  17. The photo below shows the size and routing of the cable I have in my 1920, along with where it exits the firewall and looks to be the original one. In the above parts diagram, the choke and lever would be where the black dot is just above the hole in P3431. With some modifications, the LB-1 might be made to work.
  18. Just click on the picture, the link will open. These are currently on eBay, not real pretty now but might clean up ok, don't know, just a suggestion. 1915 1924 Top Bow Saddles Clamps Brackets Dodge Brothers Ford Chevrolet GM 418 | eBay
  19. Page two of the link I posted. The BAIR number will be in the groove on the back side of the saddles.
  20. On page two there should be a chart showing the number used for your touring. You would need BAIR #418. Once you know which of the two you have is correct, you can then post that you need that number. Also singles get listed on eBay. There are two Facebook Dodge Brothers pages, one of which is hosted by the Dodge Brothers Club, you could also post there.
  21. It looks close but the choke lever would pull from the wrong side. The mounting holes would need to be approx. 1 7/8 inches = 47.625 millimeters center to center, that one, the whole thing looks larger. Not sure what the other bit is inside the opening. Thank you for taking the time to post the photos.
