Thanks! I was thinking what you wrote, but came up with that on the fly. -
Seats 1920 touring information needed

I have pretty much all the materials to do the foam route, so if you have time and can grab couple of quick measurements that would be great! I just need the height at the front and rear, even ballpark will work. I tried the reusing springs from a mattress route, did not like the support it gave me so am going with the foam. lol, I suffer from longish legs and narrow contact area syndrome if you get my drift! -
Seats 1920 touring information needed

The replies on Facebook range from building my own (the guy does it for a living) to looking for a set of original springs (LOL, spend good money on set of worn out broken down original spring, I think not). I am not restoring this car just need them to sit my butt on driving around town. Foam will work just fine and in my budget for what I need. The Upholstery is going to be quick down cut and sew, not original. -
I have a 1920 touring and for now at least, am going to install upholstered foam seats on a raised angled platform to somewhat match the original seat bottoms. I have a front seat spring, that is too far gone to use for actual seat, but it can be used for shape at the bottom and general idea how high it would have been at the front and rear. What I would like for both front and rear seat bottoms, is the height at the front and rear of each with upholstery installed. Thanks for any help.

Side note; Argentina was also a right hand drive country. Many Model As were imported in to the USA and converted to left hand drive. -
Many cars that had window shades also has strings on both sides to keep the shade in place. The ones I have seen, pretty sure had a screw eye at each end of the wood bar that goes across the bottom of the shade.

Can brake drums be resurfaced on 1918 DB Touring?
Mark Gregush replied to Willy's topic in Dodge & Dodge Brothers
Adding a sleeve to either the inside or outside, you might run into issues installing the parking or service brake shoe(s). The drum has to be X thickness to be usable and if you turn it to work, the sleeve would be really thin, so would be worthless. Wonder if they could be spray welded then turned back to proper size? -
Well that is a big bummer!

If the generator internal wiring has been changed to convert to the 2 wire cutout, just replacing the current cutout with a single wire cutout, isn't going to work. Could be that because the generator has been sitting for some time, it needs to be flashed to get it going again.

To surface them you would have to make an arbor to hold the drum, would also need to be made to fit the tool it was used on. The arbor would have to center the drum to turn it to match the wheel center when it was remounted. Except for a very few people, not and off the shelf job. Not a job that could be done on the average drum lathe without the proper bits to get it setup. -

1921 Dodge Touring rear ender attachment bolts
Mark Gregush replied to Don Jr.'s topic in Dodge & Dodge Brothers
If used, lock washers should go under the nut and would be used without a washer at the nut end. -

Think Jack M was referring to the term Penny Washer. The British penny was a lot bigger then our American penny; Penny Washers | Washers | Fasteners | Fastco -
No No don't say that! LOL

I will be doing club duty for one of the several clubs that put the Portland Swap Meet at the EXPO center. The Portland Swap Meet is how the clubs that put it on generate funds for their operation for the year ahead.
