1923 Lexington Minute Man Six for sale Not Mine
zeke01 replied to Ed Luddy's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
I know of at least four in the central KY area (Lexington, of course). Some restored, some needing restoration. Several years ago there was a “Lexington” Lexington built in Lexington KY featured in the HCCA magazine. At the time it was located in California. Zeke -

It’s not how fast you go, it’s how quickly you stop External contracting brakes limit how fast you can safely travel. Sometimes I feel like a voice crying in the wilderness. Zeke

I know what a mechanic uses it for but don’t let the cops find one in your car during a traffic stop. Zeke

Airflows were originally designed to be six cylinder automobiles. By that I mean that the suspension and weight distribution were calibrated for a lighter six cylinder engine. Even the Chrysler line was designed to use a six cylinder engine. However, corporate management couldn't stand the idea of a prestigious marque like Chrysler using a six cylinder engine in the Imperial or even the Chrysler automobiles. So it was decided that only the DeSoto line would use the six cylinder engine. Engineering be damned, the larger cars would utilize an eight cylinder engine, the result being that the DeSoto Airflows rode and handled better than the eight cylinder models. Long story short, don't dismiss the six cylinder Airflows. They are much more roadable than the eight cylinder models. Zeke

Don’t forget to check the coil. They sometimes break down when hot but work okay when cool. Zeke

I took a gas cap and removed the fastener and attached it to the radiator cap on my 1933 Dodge. It works well. Zeke
