  1. I’ve tried, but I’m not sure how to phrase it. They resemble the north end of a south bound bull. Zeke
  2. The last time I had the T.V. on was January 6, 2021. Funny how you remember things like that. Zeke
  3. I know of at least four in the central KY area (Lexington, of course). Some restored, some needing restoration. Several years ago there was a “Lexington” Lexington built in Lexington KY featured in the HCCA magazine. At the time it was located in California. Zeke
  4. It’s not how fast you go, it’s how quickly you stop External contracting brakes limit how fast you can safely travel. Sometimes I feel like a voice crying in the wilderness. Zeke
  5. Notice the cactus in the background. My sentiments exactly. Zeke
  6. It is a great big world out there. I’m sure that there are people who just love the color of that car. I hereby give up my place in line for someone who would love to have that in their garage.
  7. The Hollywood I owned wasn’t constrained at 65 miles per hour. Zeke
  8. I know what a mechanic uses it for but don’t let the cops find one in your car during a traffic stop. Zeke
  9. Seventy six horsepower with a counter balanced crank. If in good condition it will run off and hide from most other cars of the period. Zeke
  10. Unfortunately,I have not had the opportunity to find out, although hope springs eternal.
  11. I don’t think the car is worth that much either. Or, conversely, my money is worth more than the car. Zeke
  12. Airflows were originally designed to be six cylinder automobiles. By that I mean that the suspension and weight distribution were calibrated for a lighter six cylinder engine. Even the Chrysler line was designed to use a six cylinder engine. However, corporate management couldn't stand the idea of a prestigious marque like Chrysler using a six cylinder engine in the Imperial or even the Chrysler automobiles. So it was decided that only the DeSoto line would use the six cylinder engine. Engineering be damned, the larger cars would utilize an eight cylinder engine, the result being that the DeSoto Airflows rode and handled better than the eight cylinder models. Long story short, don't dismiss the six cylinder Airflows. They are much more roadable than the eight cylinder models. Zeke
  13. Don’t forget to check the coil. They sometimes break down when hot but work okay when cool. Zeke
  14. I took a gas cap and removed the fastener and attached it to the radiator cap on my 1933 Dodge. It works well. Zeke
  15. You are correct. The car already has a hula girl on the dash, fuzzy dice and a pool ball shift knob. A continental kit would just be gilding the lily. Zeke
  16. Not very accurate but still a good movie.
  17. OMG I am lusting over someone’s great grandmother! Still… she is kinda hot. Zeke
