  1. Is it possible to show a photo of the plunger? I can’t remember a leather seal at the bottom of mine. In fairness to me, it has been a couple of decades since I owned mine. Zeke
  2. You have my condolences concerning your mother. I know it can be difficult. Zeke
  3. Copart charges a “computer fee” to access the vehicle information plus a “yard fee” which you need to pay into order to get into the yard that your car is contained in plus a commission fee for the privilege of buying a car from them. That may not be all. It is truly crazy. Zeke
  4. Before anyone bids on the car, I would suggest that they look at the fees that Copart charges. Zeke
  5. The machine shop owner must figure that he owes me a favor or two, seeing as how he was the one who shot me. Zeke
  6. I had one made by a local machine shop a few years ago. I took them a hubcap and they made the puller from those dimensions. Zeke
  7. And the hits just keep on coming. Z
  8. Johnny, my friend, the best advice I can give is for you to look up the nearest AACA or VMCCA regional group and join it. Ask around about knowledgeable members who might be willing to help you. No offense meant, but you need a hands on person to help you sort your old car issues out. Zeke
  9. You will get as many answers as there are posters on this topic. I would give the system a good flush and refill with either one, recognizing the characteristics of the type used and service accordingly. Zeke
  10. As far as I know the rear end was stock. The fenders weren’t friendly (didn’t wave).
  11. Looking at the interior I think that it might have been Belle Watling’s ’ car. Zeke
  12. I take exception to the remark about the Graham. I owned one several years ago. Although it wasn’t in excellent condition, it would roll on at 65-70mph with power to spare. It was the supercharger that made the difference. Zeke
  13. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington KY. Still a family run business. Zeke
  14. This was under ring gears, pinions and carrier assemblies. Looks like the interchange is ‘27-‘29 65,72,75.
  15. It isn’t promising. From the twelfth edition oh Hollanders,
  16. My 1933 Dodge has a water pump that is similar to yours. The coolant flow provided by two vanes is sufficient to keep the engine from overheating. I suspect that the design engineers would have put more vanes on the shaft in 1934 if they were needed. What happens if your redesigned pump pushes more coolant into the radiator than the top tank can handle? Zeke
  17. Forgive me but if you want a car that will go faster more comfortably than a Model “A” why don’t you buy a higher quality car?
  18. What about the bearing seal area? That is about an inch deep. Perhaps it is out of round. Specifically the part that surrounds the axle in the top photo. Zeke
  19. The problem with using Rain-X on an old car is that in order to be effective , the windshield needs to be slanted so that water runs upward. If the windshield is more or less vertical, the water just dances around. Eventually you have to wipe it away with something. Zeke
  20. From my memory, the weights were on the front wheels only. The spare included only the rim and tire which mounted on the wood wheel. I may have some weights around, but they bear a strong resemblance to thick flat washers. Zeke.
  21. Here is my vacuum tank funnel. Several years ago I had a unit rebuilt and this was sent along with the tank. I had to ask what it was. Zeke
