  1. Another source, Lester J Harris, specializes in obsolete engine and chassis parts. Located in Minden, Nevada Ph# 775 267 2559
  2. My first car, a `47 Chevy all stock, no options. It had 1 fuse, which was on the headlight switch.
  3. Is that a remote headlight, or just no fender to mount it on?
  4. If installing a `40-248 into a `37 you`ll need to use the original `37 intake/exhaust, along with the `37 bell housing.
  5. 1937 is the first year for the 248 cu in(small) engine, and has flat top pistons.
  6. Is that split window coupe a `36 Buick?
  7. I used 2 small flat blade screw drivers, inserting the blade between the glass and the frame(do this with vent window in the open position)work the blade up/down, which will spread the frame a little, as you work it, the glass will slide on out.
  8. That car has a rumble seat, with a trunk lid below the rumble seat lid. `37 Cadillac shared this body. Too bad it is not closer to Texas.

  11. Is the latch a plunger tongue type, or roller in a track? Is it possible to use a flat screwdriver or flat bar, working from inside into the latch area and maybe pop it open that way?
  12. That looks like a 233 cu in for a 40series
  13. Here are some, 3 different sizes. https://www.ebay.com/itm/200911214096 https://www.ebay.com/itm/194849997555 https://www.ebay.com/itm/191400050724
  14. That`s actually for a `35 Oldsmobile.. that`s for the drivers side, passenger side would have the key lock. You have the inside handle 180deg off, need to flip it. `35 Chevy Master, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile used this type handles on the front suicide doors, difference being the detail of the exterior handle, interior handles are all the same.
  15. Skidplate, i bought a set of Chevy beauty trim rings for my `36 Buick 40series artillery wheels. The Chevy ones are not as deep as the Buick ones, they`ll fit, but there is a 1/4" gap at the back. Most people will not notice the difference.
  16. Do you realize the assembly is laying upside down..Buick wheels were mounted with bolts back then.
  17. Carnut, i don`t know if the brackets you`re looking for might be same/similar to a `37 Buick. Call Dave Tacheny 763 427 3460 4-7pm central M-F He parts out mid to late `30s Buicks..
