  1. I`ve gone every year, since the start. Sometimes i find a bunch of stuff, sometimes nothing. I`m hoping for clear skies, and no rain this year.
  2. 263 is easy to ID. Look at the left side of the engine, there is a vertical rib on side of each cylinder.
  3. Looks to be set up for export to countries that drive on the wrong side of the road. The bike frame has the same mounting spots on both sides, difference would be in the side car frame, mirror image of a right side, to mount on the left side.
  4. Check with French Lake Auto Parts 320-274-8497 Probably not NOS, they`ll need to know the series, and 6 or 8cyl car.
  5. Gary`s engine, he did everything except boring the block and grind the journals of the crankshaft, they mic`d OK, and was able to keep the original main/rod bearings. He did upgrade to domed pistons. So my mistake, my "total rebuild" statement was the car, as the whole project.
  6. 37Special, you having ` 37 Buick Special, you should check out Gary W`s total rebuild of his Special, if you haven`t read it before. It`s top shelf..
  7. Welcome newby.. List them here, or in Parts for Sale. Post pictures, and list price/description of each item would be best.
  8. How about the term "Fat Fendered"? Are these from about `33 thru `48?
  9. Another source, Lester J Harris, specializes in obsolete engine and chassis parts. Located in Minden, Nevada Ph# 775 267 2559
  10. My first car, a `47 Chevy all stock, no options. It had 1 fuse, which was on the headlight switch.
  11. Is that a remote headlight, or just no fender to mount it on?
  12. If installing a `40-248 into a `37 you`ll need to use the original `37 intake/exhaust, along with the `37 bell housing.
  13. 1937 is the first year for the 248 cu in(small) engine, and has flat top pistons.
  14. Is that split window coupe a `36 Buick?
  15. I used 2 small flat blade screw drivers, inserting the blade between the glass and the frame(do this with vent window in the open position)work the blade up/down, which will spread the frame a little, as you work it, the glass will slide on out.
  16. That car has a rumble seat, with a trunk lid below the rumble seat lid. `37 Cadillac shared this body. Too bad it is not closer to Texas.

  18. Maybe you could make one of these work..https://www.ebay.com/itm/195697579263 https://www.ebay.com/itm/203686234599 https://www.ebay.com/itm/322134427315
  19. Is the latch a plunger tongue type, or roller in a track? Is it possible to use a flat screwdriver or flat bar, working from inside into the latch area and maybe pop it open that way?
  20. That looks like a 233 cu in for a 40series
