  1. Thanks again for the input....is it worth rebuilding or just replacing the master cylinder ? Thanks Frank.....sad thing is that the vehicle sits....I do start it and run the engine, but I have not driven it for a while now.
  2. Thanks for the input.....I'll focus on the master cylinder..... the car has 7000 miles on her and I've never did anything with the brakes since I purchased it back in 2004. Steve
  3. Attention to detail .....unbelievable work !! Looking great Ted. Steve
  4. I went to move my Impala out of the garage tonight and the brake pedal almost went to the floor board.... I checked the brake reservoir which was at the proper level and I checked underneath the vehicle for any brake fluid - nothing. The vehicle has drum brakes all the way around the vehicle. Just very strange, too late to look at it tonight, but before I start to dig into this tomorrow, any suggestions ? Thanks Steve ( I did "pump" the pedal a few times, no change )
  5. Nice John.... I do like those light green colors ! Steve
  6. Ted - I'm looking over the paint work and it looks like glass ! I can't imagine what it will look like out in the sun light ! John - I know the feeling, not even 55 yet and had surgery on both knees and a hernia last year.....seems like it never ends as you get older...😔 Steve
  7. I remember years ago going to a local car show with a close friend of mine that just completed a five year, nut & bolt restoration on a '69 Camaro... it was beautiful. A brand new Corvette came in and parked right next to him, long story short, the Corvette won. The look on my buddy's face said it all..... Steve
  8. Keep posting John, I enjoy viewing them ! ( I seen your Chevrolet over on FB with Mr. Leunig's Chevrolet - beautiful ! ) Steve
  9. I hear you..... it took longer scheduling my helpers ( wife & one of my sons ) to help hold it in place so I can get the hardware attached....😃 Steve
  10. They came out great Chris, the white piping sets it off really nice ! Steve
  11. " One step forward, two steps back"...well I had to remove the front bumper because the filler panels that fit under the headlights would not go on. So bumper off, panels on and bumper reinstalled and aligned again ! 😃 It's been 24 years since I did the restoration on my Black Impala and this one came to me apart, so I forgot... oh well. The grill paint came out really great and now with the grill installed, it really makes the front end of this Super Sport stand out compared to the base Impala next to it. Steve Here are some pictures:
  12. Don't get me going on taxes...lol I just paid the school tax yesterday... My taxes have almost triple in the twenty-three years here, more people are leaving this state than moving here.... Steve
  13. My wife sent this site to me last year...use it as a reference.... Steve
  14. Passing this hobby on ...... my youngest. Steve
  15. Started with refurbishing of the front grill.....a lot of taping, but worth the results, one more head light bucket and then I'll install them on the SS. Some pictures....... Steve
  16. Chris - took time tonight to read your entire thread...your doing excellent work there ! My first restoration took me 14 years ( on and off ) I went thru a few bumps in the road as well dealing with other shops... Keep up the great work, it will be worth it in the end ! Steve
  17. Nice ! Looks like it's basically identical to the '69 model with the exception of the front clip and rear bumper.... the dash is identical as well ! Steve
  18. Hi John.....the 327 Impala has a light gold color and the 427 SS has a light green......
