  1. They sold off the mini bikes in my area as they were getting too old to drive them. Like old car clubs no younger blood rushing to join.
  2. That is as you say over 40 years old. My 20 year old 1/4 drive ratchet needed repair and was replaced with one without made in USA inscribed on it. First time went to use it found the ball that holds the socket on was not there. Do not let them replace your old ratchet, and make them repair your old one. I called head office and she did not know where it was made and I know not in Canada as they shut down the Snap-on factory here. I highly suspect Snap-on is now made in China also. Erwin tools closed all their US plants also and moved to China. But they forgot to lower their price to reflect the cost savings.
  3. The only picture I have of it from the listing. I was looking to buy it at $95. but it sold in the matter of hr. before I got there. The fellow inherited it from his grandfather not knowing anything about it. I put this one in the flowerbed as yard art next to my garage and it still turns over.
  4. Looking at this steam engine the fellow has for sale. The screw holding the rod to the crank looks very light duty for any work. Does anyone know what it is for? Is it just a model maybe? Any value? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe
  5. Waiting for my 700/19 tires from last year and still waiting. Told last week they have know idea when they will have them in stock. Luckily I still have one spare left. One member here has offered tires if ever needed. That is a greatly appreciated offer.
  6. Sorry I could not find one but I found a real nice speedometer cable. I will keep looking as I know I had one.
  7. Hoping to get there this year if things stay the way they are. Seeing we missed the last two years I get that involuntary twitch whenever someone says the word Hershey. But maybe I am developing the tourette syndrome. The last year there Lynne was supposed to have worked at one of the AACA tents but was injured the first day there. She spent the rest of the week in the motel room so I hope things go better this year.
  8. If the core is plated can that effect the cooling capability?
  9. Why not just put a good tape for example over the area not to be plated. I know you can not put wax or other types of coatings as you will contaminate the bath solution. Basically I think if you just cover the area not to be plated to block the area and it does not have to be water tight.
  10. And then Marlin always says { WE got it } as he stands behind a tree 300 feet away. As Jim is wrestling a 500 lb silver back gorilla by himself.
  11. A good friend hauled his 33 Ford to the Grand Nationals past week and won a first. He hauled it in an enclosed trailer behind his pusher motor home. At a cost of $1,400 in fuel from home to the show and makes me wonder if the price of fuel is going to affect the hobby. Next week he is headed for the Ford meet in Ten. that will be about a 20 hr drive spending over $3000 in fuel in one month. Getting expensive. Some shots of the cars at the show. https://www.facebook.com/john.irish.73
  12. Our 30 Cadillac Is not bad on gas as it gets me average 8 MPG. So at today's price of gas that is over $1 to drive one mile and you guys in the US complain about the high price of gas. Stop complaining as you got it good compared to every one else in the world!
  13. I was crossing the boarder a few years ago hauling a car behind off to an AACA event. The younger border guard had just seen S&B movie for the first time and I could not get away from him being all exited about it. Until he noticed his line was really backing up told me to be on my way.
  14. Ran across this add do not know the car. You do not see these every day sitting outside. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/527645262361851/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A1420cb16-3ea4-47b7-a338-9c0d2c3cf293
  15. Scrap metal is a way up so I would not be surprised if they were suddenly gone some day.
  16. I ordered them with a company up here so I do not pay PA sales tax and then again up here. I used to pick them up in Hershey like the last time 3 years ago but that boat has sailed. Ordered Lester 700 x 19 and it does not matter who you order with as they all come from the same source who has them made.
  17. Talked today about 700 x 19 and still out of stock from when I first called last year. I am told that they do not plan to build my size until they have enough orders. As of now they only have orders for 6 sets so they can not really give a date seeing they do not know when they get orders. So the tire shortage is not a covid issue as it is not carrying an inventory of tires. Must be another profit margin thing like not being able to pick up at their warehouse. I now feel like I am being gouged by the large increase in tire pricing. I was able to get new made in US Goodyear 8 ply tires for my trailer yesterday. Like everything else at a much higher price. Then tomorrow I will order a new set of 700 x 19 to get my name on a list seeing this is the only way to speed things up for them to build. So if you need tires order what you need to get the order list longer for them to build. Sorry for not being in a better mood after finding this out
  18. Watched a crime documentary where the forensic team took 42 different semen samples off a motel bedspread . Always take down the bed spread before sitting on it now and bring your own pillow and extra blanket.
  19. I checked and they do not make a bra that fits the front of my car.
  20. If it is a Canadian car all 4 are 30 X 3 1/2.
  21. Is the drive line done and complete? Any pictures of the rest of the car? thanks Joe
  22. I do not believe there is an actual guide / definition for a cars model names. I think it was what ever the manufacturer wanted to call the car model - Victoria, coupe or even 5 passenger sedan. Was there not Victoria name plates that Ford used in the 50s? Maybe some one here can shed some light on the use the model name Victoria.
  23. Was the Stanley in the Hershey car corral a number of years ago late 80s maybe??? I will have to look if I took a picture of it. That is a tour that memories are made of.
