  1. I do not think that the park rental fee goes down when they get fewer venders to cover the cost. Not sure if I will be there next year as a tourist again.
  2. I am waiting for one of my grandkids to ask me who this Steve guy is. Then the next generation will sell it for $350 a ton.

  4. Nice if it also had a carpet and chrome verses paint on the bumpers. But restoring the car is one thing but remember the cost for keeping it on the road has also gone up drastically. The cost is even much greater here in Canada that you have to also consider. My new tires are in but I do not have them yet. Consider the cost of the 6 tires, shipping, brokerage fees, dollar exchange and tax = just over $6,000. I have been waiting over 2 years now so of course I will take them if I want to drive it I bought a new brass rad for my 12 T from the Brass Works right before the pandemic at $1,200 for the rad and came to just over $2500 by the time I had it home. Now the cost of the rad alone is $1950. so it is going to get real expensive now. These price increases are going to hurt the hobby.
  5. Yes I got the wrong over weight guy sorry about that alsancle. I believe the car was auctioned off in the US along with Hitlers car a few years after the war by the military.
  6. Looks similar to Martin Bormann's car but the wrong color. Martin put so much weight on the car was sent back to have the interior made to fit his girth.
  7. With the pre war cars being driven less I would thing even more tire lines will be less available as sales drop. Everything depends on quantity.
  8. Thankyou Mat I was under the impression it was a wider white wall not a double. Getting old and making mistakes. Thanks again. Hi Tom my car is a 1930 so it has 19 in. rims where 1931 rim size drops to 18 in. rims. Hope all well with your family also and hope to see you on tour next year. nat never mind customs try the Fedex cost.
  9. If you need tires in the near future I would check if they will still be available. I have been waiting 2 years coming December for Lester 700-19 at $482 a tire. Was told today that the Lester will be discontinuing that line after this run of tires are produced when ever that is. The Firestone 700-19 tire at $755 each for the wide white walls and will still be available. I canceled my order and now getting Firestone for if I need a replacement in the future they will still be available. Do some availability checking on your line of tires before you buy. Just a heads up as times they are a changing.
  10. If we are still around in the near future what are the odds on seeing those prices again. Reality Check: The Collector-Car Market Has Reached Correction Territory | Hemmings Yes I know I am being a pessimists again!
  11. Well I have been playing with this new camera and computer and has been going slow. Can anyone tell me how to read this book. Thanks Joe
  12. first page top left corner of page says key number 1000 to 1249. Page 38 has key no. A201 - 400 This computer is a new one and when I figure out how to scan I will post what you want. I had better hold off and sit down figure out how to red this book like what is key # and bitted ???? 6W84 -7W97 I am lost with the language here.
  13. I had my 1930 Cadillac on the Founders / London to Brighton tour in London this year. So it was passible to have a curved dash Olds if there was one on tour traveling with that 1998 BMW. As for the mix of 75 cars there I cannot think of anytime I was passed and being tied with the oldest car there. Only complaint I had was the over 150 mile days for the older cars so glad I left the 1912 T at home. As mentioned above about 70+ mph you are not seeing much of the countryside traveling an interstate.
  14. Sending our form in tomorrow. 3,000 miles return trip there but I always say if you do not like driving you are in the wrong hobby.
  15. Sorry I do not want to post what I have in my shop in case the wife reads this post.
  16. I Also have a Brigs & Stratton code book copyrighted 1938 along with several clippers 14 & 15. I got them with good intentions but never cut one key with them in the past 15 years. I did sell off some of the springs and pins in brown GM packaging. It is at the bottom of my to do list I guess along with the gas pumps.
  17. Do not know when I will be up there so here is the place on Google map. The phone number is on the sign and starts with 905 (distortion) also says decals on the sign. Hope this helps. ON-115 - Google Maps
  18. When I google 1930 Cadillac Victoria a picture of my own car comes up. So is it rare ? I think not. Like Ed says above if it is rare then nobody wanted it when it was new.
  19. A fellow a few miles north of me will make what ever you want if you have a good photo. Next time by him I will stop and get his info.
  20. Bought a 84 Chevy pickup in wrecking yard in Belen New Mexico. When cleaning it out after I got it home found a large snake skin under the seat.
  21. Do most realize that a 20 max battery is actually only 18 volt. When it is on charge it is charging at 20 volt. That is why there is an aster after the title on the box. Then try and find the well hidden the aster explanation. Just a bit of useless information.
  22. Here is why you have to be very careful of the history of a car. Take Hitlers personal Mercedes for example where it sits in a Museum in Ottawa since the 70s but I see it advertised that others that have it. It was even advertised as Hitlers car in auction and high bid at $7,000,000. a no sale.
  23. We will be hosting a 3 day tour in Kingston again only a 5 hr drive from western Mss. Plus a 5 day tour in Brockville next year if you want to cross the boarder for some new sites and it is even closer than Kingston for you. This years 5 day tour had 85 cars on it
