  1. Matt, You can like as many times as YOU wish, and for good reason, it must look like ONE you know, WELL, Dale in Indy
  2. Ben, don't feel bad, N/A can also mean NOT AVAILABLE, We STILL love ya, now get back that engine rebuild, Dale in Indy
  3. Matt, Better install the hub caps before you get arrested for indecent exposer. I like LIMITEDS hehe, also LIMITEDS grow on you without skirts, but skirt marks on the fenders convinces you to install them. Dale in Indy
  4. I'm a tad confused, does it IDLE rough, yet smooth out at speed? Dale in Indy
  5. Cool looking 50 Buick, FOR SURE! You know what????, I hadn't noticed the side window visors, let's see, that makes FIVE VISORS, doesn't it? Ben my friend is KING of the visor world, Dale in Indy
  6. He is showing the world he has, (good tie down straps) Dale in Indy
  7. There weren't many 53's made, must have been something about the car that drove the price. I know it had a inline 6, but listing says V6, hehe, now that would make really RARE, Lol Dale in Indy
  8. Looks like the RM had a water bag on bumper, maybe a window water cooler, don't know what that item is on center hood? 4300 feet up, I don't know how steep the path up, but probably not the only car to make it up, & down. We all know you don't have to rely totally on brakes, use a lower gear, don't ride the brakes, and do what you can to keep the speed down. Many states back then forbid riders in the trailer as it was moving. Dale in Indy
  9. Glad you don't call it a MOTOR, hehe Soon to hear the ROAR, Dale in Indy
  10. I have grown to really like these cars. I didn't always, Dad being a Buick dealer was my reason. Dad would say, "IT'S THE ONLY CAR YOU STEP DOWN TO GET IN, AND FALL, TO GET OUT". He also would say, "IF YOU DON'T DRIVE A BUICK, YOU ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH",. He didn't believe such, but he loved humor. Another comment was when a customer would drive in the lot, he would often tell me, " DALE, HERE COMES ANOTHER SUCKER, I MEAN A CUSTOMER, then would say, "I ALWAYS GET THAT CONFUSED", and laugh. I miss my parents, Dale in Indy
  11. Post 38, Matt you never know when you MIGHT need one, Dale in Indy
  12. The Proof is in,,,,,, there are MORE horses rears, than horses, Dale in Indy
  13. Ben's a COOL DUDE,,,,,,,WELL, Terry, If YOU say so, I'll believe such. Should we quit picking on his VISOR,,,,, Don't think so. Dale in Indy
  14. Oh,,,,,how I remember the first time I saw the 53 headlight design/trim, really like it, STILL do. Lots of those pieces ended up on customs, nice compliment to Buick designers, OH, OH, how I cherish those FITTY days in the dealership, we had a 53 SKYLARK & a FITTY FO LARK, you know the FITTY FO Lark that I tore the door off at two weeks old. MOTHER NEVER KNEW, THANKS DAD! Dale in Indy
  15. On a couple of my cars I have starter heat soak not from non-cast iron headers, but STEEL tube headers. I made heat deflectors, and had good results, I installed them so there was distance between the starter and the header, and so air could flow between both. Yes designed and installed correct they can/do work, IMHO Dale in Indy
  16. Jay has/does buy all kind of pieces, and in different conditions, he has so many different pieces that it's hard to find something he doesn't already own. I have seen pic's of pieces he bought in rough shape, a lot depends on how RARE it is Dale in Indy ,
  17. Barney, how did you get into reparing antenna's? Dale in Indy
  18. Terry, In Ben's dreams will the BUG have a VISOR. I love to tease Ben, but fairly sure he thinks I'm to hard on him, just havin some fun, I'm sure he is a great Buick guy, Dale in Indy
  19. Mr. FITTY FO, the cup printer made a huge error. He printed 1945, meant 1954, got his last two numbers switched, Dale in Indy
  20. Except the tag holder is pointed towards the DEVIL. The last picture clearly shows the HIGH stance Buick gave these cars, kind of the HIGH WATER look, must have expected a flood, Dale in Indy
  21. Cool link where you can PICK & CHOOSE the colors. I recall in the 50's dad's dealership had books where you could lay over plastic see thru sheets to do the same thing. As a arty kid, I enjoyed playing with it. I'm sure all dealers had such a color selection book. Dale in Indy
  22. Ben, I know YOU, you love the blue one in post number 12, huh? Dale in Indyb
  23. If only Buick would have lowered the distance between top of tire, and the fender lip/roll. Maybe an inch. Other than that, I LIKE THEM. Dale in Indy
  24. I'm not a 57 expert, with that said,,,,,if you goggle IMAGES OF 1957 BUICKS you will find what appears to be BITTERSWEET 1957 Buick cars, maybe. Also goggle 1957 Buick factory color charts and find BITTERSWEET. Just sayin, Dale in Indy
