  1. Yep, a 49 2-door rear fender would make a TEAR DROP stunning, IMO Dale
  2. Great idea,,,,,,, but I don't see your trailer picture? Dale in Indy
  3. Post 2269, I wonder what's under it, LOVE the patina, flat out LOVE it. One thing about that car, you couldn't hang a visor on it, hehe. Post 2267, WOW,,,,,,,doesn't it have the most BEAUTIFUL rear fender of all time? I still think a pair of dim dare fenders would make a great 2-wheel trailer. IMHO I should make a large scale model of that fender, as a wall hanging, don't ya think! No better yet, a large scale VISOR, that would be cool, with a sign under it, " GOT TO LOVE THAT BEN". I wonder if he is ever going to get that engine swap finished? Dale in Indy
  4. The top appears to ROLL below the back glass, so NOT a Century, IMO Dale in Indy
  5. Are there ANY visor fans? ANY? Post 2241. Dale in Indy ?
  6. The raised lines on the hood of post number 1374 are PERFECT for a two tone, that's what I see. Dale in Indy
  7. I need to make 1/5th scale trailer for my 30"long 1925 Miller Indy car model, LOVE THEM SINGLE AXLE TRAILERS. Post 2196, I could hook it up to my GM Futurliner bus model, huh! I recall attending Indy 500 in the early 50's and the day after seeing one of the actual race cars on a trailer at an eating joint. Also remember double deck open trailers with midget cars on such, DIM WERE THE GOD OLE DAYS. Dale in Indy
  8. Pete, YOU are sure a helpful fellow, GREAT for our hobby. Dale in Indy
  9. Just wondering,,,,,,,,?, do some of you old fellows like me recall it being called DUM DUM, or did I pick that term up from the body shop guys in my Dads dealership in the 50's? Dale in Indy
  10. Oh my,,,,, I can't tell if it's a 4-hole car or just a 3?, and wow, she is tall and slim, certainly not a FLUFFY one. Dale in Indy
  11. Sorry you have had this happen to you, YOU sound like a guy that can handle it, I doubt any of us can calm you fears. Life deals us some unpleasant issues now ant then, and we just need to deal with such.. I'm sure you will figure it out. You don't seem to be a BASKET CASE, sounds like you enjoyed making the video, hehe. Dale in Indy
  12. I guess they didn't want air blowing on the other unit? The FITTY FO lark, wow, wonder if it could be ours, brother put hitch on it to pull small midget race car trailer, wonder what color the fender panels were, our was RED? Dale in Indy
  13. Mr. FITTY FO is trying to find that FITTY FO for the garden, don't ya think? Dale in Indy
  14. We called that strip caulk, DUM DUM as a kid. Lots of times in the past it was used around pipes, etc. coming thru the firewall. I have seen it to seal a COWL VENT when you didn't want to weld it shut, and also didn't want to use the vent. Good stuff, IMO. Dale in Indy
  15. Google FLEX SEAL, read all the reviews, last time I checked they weren't good. Dale in Indy
  16. NAPA sells good quality seam filler that can be painted. You want to it dry, but remain flexible. Not all roof sealer dries, or can be painted. Dale in Indy
  17. Probably lots of reasons that stuff is harder to sell today, makes one wonder if fewer folks are interested in restoring/building a car of the PAST. Our son and son-in-law LIKE old cars, but have NO interest in buying/working on one. Not sayin they are typical, they both could afford, but no interest. They have commented to me OFTEN, that's a lot of work you have performed on the Limited, AMEN to that I say, hehe They haven't asked/suggested a visor, hehe Dale in Indy
  18. One more piece of info. THEY ARE CALLED SUICIDE KNOBS FOR A REASON. Best used on a LAWN TRACTOR, anything that moves very SLOW. Be safe, Dale in Indy
  19. GREAT LOOKING car, perfect car for the Brunn sweep spear, Dale in Indy
  20. I have heard HORROR stories about spinners and LONG sleeve shirts/jackets. Be safe, Dale in Indy
