  1. Wishing YOU well, very nice of you to explore a solution regarding this MAJOR problem, I have often wondered how many 322 owners have NOT had a cracking issue with their dual carb setups? Dale in Indy
  2. I happen to have a 46 RM, and have considered replacing my fender, Wishing you well with your sale, Dale in Indy
  3. FREE I guess? I think the rule should be, if no price is listed, THEN IT's FREE! Don't you think? Dale in Indy
  4. I think that's KING TUT's tomb off to the right, those fellows, including the one in front of the Pontiac are looking for the EARLY PROTOTYPE 'pokemon's. We were downtown in a small town north of us, NOBLESVILLE, IN, and around the square there were at least 50 people with heads looking down at their cells, looking for dim dare stupid pokemon's. Some even walked out in the traffic without looking. NOT ME, NEVER Dale in Indy
  5. Thank You, I will check them out. Dale in Indy
  6. Love it tooooooooooooooooooooooooo, BLACK TIRES FOREVER, Dale in Indy
  7. I love FITTY FO's, but not the models with the SWOOPING rear roof line that wraps around the lower part of the rear window. Probably just ME, don't care for the models with built in windshield VISOR tooooooooooooooooooooooo! Ben may, maybe not? Ben's building a HOT ROD straight eight, SLOWLY,,,,,,,,,,,grandma was slow, but she was 84 and expecting. hehe Got to LOVE that dare Ben, Dale in Indy
  8. Then WHY did you ask? hehe Enjoy your trip, report back how it went, Dale in Indy
  9. Yep, lots of paint things to consider when piece painting. Look at the new Cameros, the rear quarter panel right behind the doors seems to be OFF COLOR, but it ISN'T. The bulge out behind the door creates an illusion, some have even complained to dealers, early on dealers have even gone to the expense to repaint, and show the customer that it ISN'T a color difference, it's the angle that you see. Like a wall in your house, the same paint at a corner can look like a different shade, but isn't. Dale in Indy
  10. You are a smartin, hehe guy, so YOU know that JUST because the paint came from the same pot/mix DOESN'T mean PERFECT match. I'm guessing you will be ok, but out in the sunshine will tell the story, Dale in Indy
  11. It doesn't look like your PIECE painting brought about some color differences? Looking good, I would have been scared to death mounting the hood, so easy to scratch/scuff something. YOU did good with a GOOD helper, Dale in Indy
  12. We took our 47 RM everywhere, NO PARTS, NO PARTS. The only difference from THEN to NOW is THEN parts were available EVERYWHERE. We had only flat tires, and then not often. If your car is in good condition, and this isn't the first long trip, then I personally would take very few parts. Dad was good at servicing our RM, so that made a difference, he had CONFIDENCE. With five of us kids, we needed all the storage space we could get. Dale in Indy
  13. I like the bumper end design, nice touch, the 41 Buick is quite PLAIN in bumper design, IMO The Buick elephant ears IMO are/were to bulky, so the 41 Caddy gets my VOTE for bumper design. Best wishes in the sale of this piece, Dale in Indy
  14. Well DON'T think EVERYONE has a phone that takes pictures, mine doesn't, and several of my friends phones DON'T either. Not a sure method to screen a scammer, Dale in Indy
  15. I'm sure SHE/NANCY can vouch for that famous phrase, "NO PLACE LIKE HOME". Trust she/you are doing well! Dale in Indy
  16. My photo files are in a confusing/mess. What vendor/system do you suggest for someone NOT a pro with his computer? It doesn't have to be a FREE program, just want it to be simple/easy. I'm NOT needing to load all I have stored now, but from now forward. Thanks, Dale in Indy
  17. I just flat out LOVE TO DREAM, I have built so many arty cars/arty pieces in my dreams. Oh what I would do to a 49 RM HT SWEEP SPEAR CAR, Oh how I love to dream. Did you ever think,, THIS LIFE YOU ARE LIVING IS REALLY JUST A LONG LASTING DREAM? Could be, you know. Dale in Indy
  18. Very few cars receive a FRAME OFF total restore and don't end UPSIDE DOWN. Difference with ME, and a FEW OTHERS on this site,,,, IS, WE CAN DO MOST OF THE RESTORE/MODIFY OURSELVES, and enjoy every minute of such. There is no way I would restore the drive train that's now in the car, and end up with a 45-50 MPH piece, 'no way', that's just not the arty in me, there are plenty of purist cars for me to see, I want to DRIVE my pieces. I love purist cars, just don't care to own one. I can't be offended by "SCREW UP" comments, I have heard so many, I just SMILE and often have said, LET'S SEE WHAT YOU HAVE BUILT, a few have shown me their pieces, and I have said, YOU DID GOOD! I'm always pleased to see well done pieces, EVERYONE can find someone that has done better/more, maybe YOU have run into someone that has done better/more than yourself. I laid in bed last night thinking, OH HOW FUN THAT MODIFY BUILD THAT WOULD BE, OH HOW FUN/REWARDING, Dale in Indy
  19. Now,,, YOU know what I'm thinking,,,,,,,,, If the wood is good, and not a ton of rust, and IF I was 20 years younger, $25,000. to me would not be an issue. Sure I would try to spend less, but I can see some real LOVE in the piece. Knowing what I know after building my modified 41 Limited here is what I would do. I would find a donor BUICK or two, that I could graft the front suspension to the 33 Buick frame, plant a Buick late model V8 under the hood, injected, computer assisted, plus a Buick automatic tranny, then graft a Buick rear end under the frame. I would have a set of rims made to look like 33 Buick pieces, but NOT wires. I would do very little to the body, well new glass, and a new interior LIKE what came in the car when new. I would have then power steering, power brakes, great ride, greatly improved MPG, and a SAFE piece that would just FLAT OUT LOVE 70-75 MPH. Folks along the way would see it as a 1933 model 90 series Buick, and I along with my passengers, well we would ENJOY the ride. Scream all you purist want, but this is what I would do, and I would have ZERO regrets, period. Look, I could go anywhere, anytime, and feel wonderful doing such. It would be a daily driver, rain or shine. Dale in Indy P.S. NO scallops, and NO visor, hear that Ben, hehe Also I may be 79+, but have the ability to do such, just have to many toys right now.
  20. Our 1937 Roadmaster was ' BETSY '. Us kids would holler, COME ON BETSY, START. Dale in Indy
  21. I attend two shows, Frankemuth, Michigan a show on GRASS, along the river, and to meet up with friends I see just ONCE a year. The other show in Louisville Kentucky, huge, huge show. Wonderful site, very large inside vendor area, large inside area where ONE OF A KIND pieces are displayed. Not belly to belly, but lots of room between such so you can really check them out. I agree that to many cookie cutter pieces attend most shows, but I also understand that many of the owners love thier pieces, so I SMILE as I walk on. Dale in Indy
  22. Well, Mr. FITTY FO, let's see pictures of what you did with the river rock, in Indiana river rock can't be picked up/spread with a shovel/rake, TO DANG BIG, so YOUR river rock is smaller????? You are a work horse, GOOD FOR YOU, Dale in Indy
  23. I have the same mirrors, I find the drivers side fair when 'vent' is open, and right side is as you say terrible. Main reason is you can't adjust it enough. Thinking about real small cameras on each side, and the monitor in upper dash area, I hate driving without super good side mirrors. Dale in Indy
  24. Nice, very nice! I have been meaning to ask,,,,,,how happy are with your two side mirrors? Dale in Indy
