  1. Take your time and pry the original top off. Once you have it apart you can modify the internals to take a modern filter. Here is what I did on my Model 62.
  2. The emblem is the Chrysler like on the radiator but only about an inch in diameter. Sorry I don't have one left, I'll try to find a photo of one.
  3. Yup and also popular to make a pair of cycle fenders.
  4. I have had a thump when the car sat and the brakes had been stuck to the drums, also on the old Chryslers the parking brake band would stick to the drum.
  5. You would need to find a car to swap parts out all four corners. You can't change only the wheels.
  6. Are the 39/40 interchangeable? It may be an old repair from an accident.
  7. A little Chrysler emblem that says quality. I'll look and see if I still have one.
  8. Not Dodge. Dodge had the carb on the left side with a passage through the block. It is a Maxwell engine, after 1914 and before 1919 when the intake was changed to a straight down in the middle. The forked headlight looks right for at least 1915 Here is a 1914 Maxwell engine notice the head and intake.
  9. Electric windshield washers worked well for dispensing Vodka, Rum, or the like. Prefect for drive-in entertaining. One local Officer would say "open the trunk" if there was beer he would put it in his trunk and tell you to go home.
  10. None that I am aware of, just two carbs that could suck a lot of air.
  11. In 1969 I got a $50 1923 McCormick tractor. Worked on it in the machine shed for a good 3 hrs the drove it home were I got my butt in a sling. It took a couple of days but I sold it for $125 to one of my Dad's good friends.
  12. I am interested in the light on the right in the first photo. It should have 2 bulbs inside I think some parts are gone. I'll PM you
  13. This is a 1926 Chrysler dash, you may be able to do something with one of these. Notice this one has been changed, it should have a black face.
  14. Sure looks like an electrical junction box, one in two out, forklift resistant, why would you need 3 ports on a breather?
  15. I agree with 1948ish Here is another same time frame?
  16. My first car was a 1954 Ford wagon. First off the tags for that year were red and my Father was on the fire dept. so right away I got a small bit of red reflective tape. Second thing most parents were not big with teens in a station wagon. I think that is all for now,
  17. I don't like the term rare at all and super car even worse. Many cars that are rare were not well done. Most cars well done are not rare. If dripping with blood or just bloody, most of my cars would be rare or maybe just considered butchered.
  18. Grab it and take some more photos. I don't think the Dodge's used a head light like this one.
  19. Shifting without the clutch is no big deal to the clutch or transmission if done right. I did it most of the time in my 160,000+ mile 1962 1/2 ton Dodge PU. never had a problem and gave it away with nearly 300,000 on it.
  20. Yup, keep your eyes open for any you would travel to.
