  1. Tail light on a Plymouth would be mounted on the fender.
  2. The "Thrifty" section in the want adds was for cars and trucks $25 and under, then for 1970 they raised it to $35 and under. I got a couple of cars for just over the price of the add.

  6. Different States/Countries had different rules and regulations on lighting, including parking on a street at night.
  7. I spent most of my childhood on the Mississippi. Red is for the port side. Most Port wine is red. Starboard is on the right while facing forward. White goes on the stern. My two shepherds know port and starboard for turning on walks and hikes.
  8. Model T center door on the right, 1924 Hudson? on the left.
  9. Who made the wiring? The starter won't care, could you tell if the wiper motor turns backward? The fuel gauge will work backwards. I used this to my advantage friends would give me gas money when I had most of a tank of gas. A solid state radio could get fried.
  10. I have this, a bit different but was the same general setup.
  11. My father had a 1945 Chevy 1 1/2 ton flat bed truck, fenders, wheels and bumper were black everything else was red. It was almost unheard of to get a new truck even on a farm.
  12. Fender dizzy number lobe count
  13. They were used on the first Chryslers 1924 - early 1926 then they got rid of the little peak or beak.
  14. A photo would clear things up. You may need a bit more than a chunk of wood, there should be 2 clamps to hold the top to the windshield.
  15. In my garage there is 2 kennels with German Shepherds, a 500 gallon water tank, racks of canned goods and small kitchen appliances. My shop has 3 cars, wood working tools, metal shaping tools, electronic repair stuff, 2 air compressors, racks of parts from the 1890s - 1960s, painting supplies, and a laundry sink. In the shop office besides the desk and computer there is book shelves, a futon with pillow and a 3/4 bath, there is also a sign that says "Caution I have a gun, a shovel and a solid alibi".
  16. Many people varnish them. I often used Tung oil or Linseed oil. I think a satin varnish looks better than the high gloss finish.
  17. Take your time and pry the original top off. Once you have it apart you can modify the internals to take a modern filter. Here is what I did on my Model 62.
  18. The emblem is the Chrysler like on the radiator but only about an inch in diameter. Sorry I don't have one left, I'll try to find a photo of one.
