  1. September 1966 debut of the new models ... when the norm was to build the car the way you wanted, pouring over those binders that the salesman cautiously allowed you to take a quick glance at as you picked out your options.
  2. Here is my first car in 1967 when I was 17 and had to use my savings to buy this $125 beauty. ( My Mom getting her first ride)and here is a (same location)picture 55 years later with Mom(now 102 yrs young and still lives there) with a new same car ( don't ask how much it cost to get it to this condition because I am afraid to add it up).
  3. Found this old newspaper from Toronto dated April 1966 while cleaning the old family home. Just a sample of the used cars available.
  4. Thanks Jon, any idea on what the cfm might be.
  5. Found this Holley carb tucked away on the shelf and can't remember the application Stamped on the horn is; 0341 LIST - 4668 Stamped on the butterflies; 213 on the larger & 199 on the smaller Stamped on top perimeter; 6 R3435 B & 5B and then a symbol I can not make out. Will attach pictures. May have to do consecutive postings to attack the pictures Thanks Rudy
  6. looking for factory specifications for mechanical brakes on 1935 Ford 3 window coupe fitted with factory wire wheels. Would like the factory dimensions of the brake drums and max size allowable, and the shoe size and the factory thickness of the bonded material. Thank Rudy
  7. Guess what.. it came to me in a flash when I looked at the temperature gauge... says cylinder head temp.. from a 1965 to 67 Corvair Corsa with 140 hp engine... ( btw I had a 65 Corsa in 1969... the answer was stored in my memory banks)
  8. Found this dash.. guessing late sixties GM car... maybe SS model.. Has 140 mph speedometer.. did a fair bit of google searching images but no luck so far.. maybe someone's memory is better than mine. Thanks Rudy
  9. Thanks .. have gone to take a look and will make it happen.
  10. from another source found that is a filler/splash panel that fits/joins the frame rails under the radiator.. Ford part# 48-16550
  11. This part was included in my 1935 Ford 3 window when I brought it home. The grill, rad, and lower grill panel were inside the rumble seat area, as was this panel. I think it might be a filler panel that mounts under /near the radiator.. Since I had not taken these parts of the car , not sure where this goes.
  12. FYI....received and answer and reassurance (from another source) that the position of the tip of the coiled spring should make contact with the top of the little cupped disc and doesn't necessarily have to be in the middle of it , but just has to make contact. Cheers Rudy
