  1. I pull with a Ford F-350 crew cab dually. Would not pull with anything else. Very stable on the road. With the V-10 engine , it will pass everything but a gas station. It is also my bad wheather vechicle. Have pulled with 3/4 ton single axle trucks and did not feel safe when it was windy and when tractor trailers passed me. Came close of being sucked into one once.
  2. Matt, That's a sharp looking Caddy you have there. I am a hot rodder myself but I love cars of that era also. Very nice.
  3. Sorry for the loss of your father.
  4. You are dead on with that one, Peter
  5. My local Mustang club had it's spring show today under cloudy skies all day long. No rain at all the entire day. The turnout was less because it sure looked like it could.
  6. I use the red sta-bil in the winter with good resuits and a octane boast also for the Mustang. Can't by that 100 octane anymore.
  7. Sue and I will keep a eye out in our neck of the woods. Good luck in finding your sharp looking '57' Chevy.
  8. Steve, Yes, it is quite a month indeed. West did a great job on the magazine as usual. I am very honored and humbled to have my car featured. It"s deeply appriciated. Dave
  9. We had two places in town. Pros and Bibs burgers. I belive the burgers cost 15 cents and were paper thin and the fries cost the same. We would to Pros for lunch when I was in highschool in the sixties.
  10. If you have a tap & die set you can redo the treads so the plug will fit tight.
  11. I replaced a few aftermarket parts with correct nos ones. When does it ever stop? It seems there is always something to do, to make your car better.
  12. In Jersey we had S&H green and yellow stamps. Mom and Grandmom would take all their books once a year somewhere and cash them in.
  13. The gas station my dad took me to as a kid had a outside lift and inside the old place there was a soda machine that was a big tub filled with water that was chilled. You just grabbed a bottle from the water. The owner ran it by his self and had penny candy that you could buy for two for a penny. Mom would give me 10 cents extra a day for school and I got alot of candy for that amount of money By the way, gas sold for 22 cents a gal. in 1960. Wow, have times changed.

  20. Update on info about hotel issue at the Holiday Inn & Convention Center for the Southeatern Fall Meet. Got a call this am from a rep. with the Holiday Inn. It has been sold but still is a Holiday Inn. At this time use this phone number 276-466-4100 to register. They are looking into the number not working correctly. Will post when that is done. Meet Chairman Ben Zandi is calling Hershey to inform them of the problem. Hoping it gets corrected soon. Dave
  21. I received info today on the Southeastern Nat. Fall meet. Called the meet headquaters hotel the Holaday Inn & Convention Center. Four calls later I get someone that tells me the hotel has been sold and I need to stay at another one of their locations. They gave me a new number for the old Holiday Inn stating this number should work for me. Called that number and still got the Holiday Nat. reservation people. Called John Rice the regions registration chair about this. He will be getting some answers on Mon. and will give me a call with the new name and number. Will post new info then. Dave

  23. Yes, I good time was had by all. The weather held out, no snow or rain, but it was very chilly. With the temperature being brisk so were the vendors sales. All and all things went very well from the car corral to the tailgaters selling their items from the back of their trucks, to the vendors in the buildings. We like to thank all those that attended and supported this event. Hope everyone had a good time, and we will see everyone next year. Dave:)
  24. We have all auto related items. This is our 40th swap meet and it's never been rained out. Come on over and enjoy looking and buying car stuff with car people. You will enjoy yourself. Hope too see you on Sun. Regards Dave Birchmire, Sr.
