  5. On the early Mustangs, the firewall was black with undercoating applied. Some decide to not recoat with undercoat and that is a deduction in M.C.A.

  18. What a neat video. Isn't it ironic that the cars in spectators parking are now antique cars on the show field. And have been for years. Dave
  19. I agree with Bob, Carlisle tires are junk. I had a blow out with my 22' trailer a few years ago on the New Jersey turnpike going the speed limit. By the grace of God and some limited driving skills I got it under control and pulled over. Carlisle would not do a thing for me until I had my lawyer send them a letter. The dealer then gave me four new General tires. I asked why not carlisles and he said off the record they were having problems with them. No problems since. Dave Birchmire,Sr.
  20. Dick, I was invited last year with my Mustang Boss 302. It is very different than a AACA event. First the cars are not judged per say they are reviewed by the judging team with hood and trunk closed. If one vehicle catches a judges eye it could be in line to win a award. The dress is casual with dress shorts being fine. You will be put in one of nine or ten classes. There are top awards for each class and a few Bethlehem Star awards giving out. In the afternoon the judges put award ribbons on the winning cars. Later in the day they do a parade lap in front of the stage and your name is announced along with the cars infomation. There is a banquet the night before which is a fund raiser for the show. Participants receive two tickets for breakfast and lunch. We had a great time last year and met some nice people and were fortunate to win an award. Good luck. Dave Birchmire Sr.
  21. In my neck of the woods. A good paint job on a Mustang will cost between $10.000 to $12.000. Which includes molding removal and the car striped to bare metal. The main cost is labor, but paint and other items are very expensive today.
  22. At one time A.A.C.A. had a nice desk lamp that we could buy. I have a need for one now but can't find them listed anywhere. Are they still availble ? Thanks, Dave Birchmire Sr.
