Bhigdog
Thursday it was about 75 degrees here. Just about all the snow was gone. I figured I would soon have the cars out for an excercise ride. I took the plow off the tractor. This AM we have a brand new foot of snow on the ground......Bob

R Walling
Bob, so it was you that took the plow off the tractor. You are the one thatmade it snow on all of us. Shame on you! I had my snow plow ready and running since early NOV. Thats why we had very little snow until you had to screw up things! Roger

Bhigdog
At least I left the chains on the tractor. Farm type tractor, major pain to put on. Imagine what would have happened if I also took them off.....Bob

Shop Rat
We had three wonderful days anywhere from 65 to 75 degrees and now....snow and cold. At least all the birdies got a spring bath in the bird bath before I had to dump it and turn it over so it wouldn't freeze and break.
Bhigdog
Yeah, I saw a flock of robins here Thurs. It's going to be awhile till they find any worms. I have a lot of feed and corn out for the others. I even have a murder of crows stopping by for the corn. They always post a lookout in the trees while the others eat. Very intelligent birds.....Bob

Jim Bollman
Bhigdog, are you new to the area? Up here in NY I don't take the plow off the 8N till mid May and never take the chains off.I admit to having my hopes up but, we have even had snow in May so I never jump the season. Clincher
I'm as Irish as Paddy Murphy's Pet Pig, but I've given up on Saint Patrick and celebrate instead "The Feast Day of Saint Kermit and All Frogs". It really works. Heavy rain early this morning washed all the snow away. Think Green!
Wowabunga
Hey 38 chevy.... I was drive'n in fog, at night, in my Geo Metro Convertible (luv that car) and was in upper middle New York state.... when I saw this huge beast on stilts (long legs) slowly running across the interstate. I was afraid. Luckily timeing was on my side and I barely missed the critter... was wondering what that critter might be ? Elk ?

stock_steve
Argh, at least the drivers out on I-95 all kept it sane & reasonable on Friday evening's commute home--slow & steady, no problems (nary a nervous, tailgating SUV driver in sight--amazing!). Lovely how all the semi-wet precipitation that fell overnight from Friday to Saturday was completely frozen by Saturday morning. Some challenge even getting to the point of being able to try the key in my car's door! Thankfully some nice sun out there now, "as we speak" (Sunday afternoon) here on the CT Shoreline--hope it helps speed this latest snowfall's departure... Guest Ranchero79
Doing our best here to trick the snow into ending. Down to the last couple handfuls of rock salt (bought 200lbs last fall). Therefore, the snow must end. Right!?
Dandy Dave
Got Three more Inches of that lousy white stuff last night up here in upstate NY. Good thing my snow shovel is a Massy Furguson Backhoe with a full cab and heater. I haven't had to use a hand shovel around the mail box in years. Happy First Day of Spring Dave!
