Jim Anselmo
Ok, all you experts. I recently saw an episode of Greenacres and it looks like Mr. Haney drives a DB truck. Any one know if that is the case? I've attached a picture, but I'm no expert and was just curious.Jim
Bob Scafani
I thought surely someone would respond by now. To be sure, Mr Haney did in fact drive a Dodge Brothers truck. The truck was a 1924-25 series chassis with a stake bed.

Bleach
I know this is an old thread but I've watching my collection of Green Acres. I saw Mr. Haney's truck and was thinking that it was a DB truck as well and this thread seems to confirm that. I'd like to add a better photo of the truck for this thread. Bleach
You're welcome. I almost forgot what a great show that was.
MikeC5
Misssster Douglas... can I interest you in a slightly used truck? It was only driven by an old lady to church on Sundays... That was a very funny show; such wacky characters except for the poor, lone, sane person. And who could forget Arnold Ziffle?
wheelwright
With the straight non-slanted windshield looks like 1918-1919 and it doesn’t have a straight truck frame in the rear, so I would presume with the bent rear spring supports it is a car conversion into a truck. Mark Gregush
Charlie Chan's No 1 son drove the same truck in one of the movies.

He said there was like only one episode that stated Haney`s first name, but didn`t remember what it was. Thanks for that tidbit..
30DodgePanel
I’ve always combined two names like Eugene and Festus. I know the spelling is different but it’s my way of memorizing. Very rare name and not sure of what or where it originated.

30DodgePanel
Last week after I got home from work I was watching an episode on Pluto and kept pausing it trying to figure out what the radiator emblem said. My wife who works from home came down the hall at that instance and we had a quick discussion filled with questions that reads like an episode of Green Acres. Her - "um, what are you doing?"... Me snickering - "Pausing the tractor scene in this episode, what's it look like I'm doing?"... Her - "I meant, why are you watching Green Acres?" Me - "Hey, a guy can dream can't he?"... Her - "You're taking this buying a cabin thing a bit far don't you think?" Me with laughter - "How so?" I'd forgot about our fun discussion until I seen the last few posts this morning. 30DodgePanel
Guess those in charge of credits thought Mr Haney drove a Ford
MikeC5
Ha ha! yes, a bit of a stretch there. I guess you could say Dodge used to make a lot of the hardware on pre-1914 Fords.
