At a first glance the car seems nice, but I've noticed some things, that I do not like: woodgrain dashboard needs to be redone, steering wheel is in bad shape, pot metal grille looks suspicious, two tone paint scheme's color separation lines are incorrect. All of this is just my humble opinion. :)

And this a cruiser and not a sports car, this not a coupe or convertible, so, in my opinion, it doesn't make sense that there are only two doors.

Are you sure the two-tone scheme is incorrect?  I don't have any direct experience with these cars, but I found this factory photo online:

This car is not too far from me.  I would be willing to go and look at it if anyone is interested.

Take a closer look at the paint separation line below windshield. It is wrong on that car.

I have a '41 Special in about the same driver-level shape as this, and I know they are about the same in many regards, but I would trade mine for this.

I've said it before but I am a sucker for a '40s GM fastback.

Ok, Andrew, now I see what you mean.  It's not a huge problem, but I agree that it does take away from the overall quality of the restoration.

Saw the Maloof collection years ago on a VMCCA tour -

rows and rows -

a month's worth of each type-

'41s,

'59s

etc

Well, we can dream ...

I like it, but the wrong upholstery material kills it for me.  Looks like velour.  Here’s a mint one in the same colors I saw a few years back.  They look so much better with the skirts on.

I had contacted the seller thinking I might make a road trip to Morgan Hill (5 hour drive) or take Neil's offer and him go look at it.  It's 24,500 and that's where it should stay.  Most of the chrome is pitted except the bumpers.  The chrome slats on the rear 1/4 panels are pitted and so is the grill.  Though I am told the engine is in good shape the engine compartment is let down.  By what the seller said on the phone the car will need brake work!  The steering wheel is bad shape.  With all that said, its a Cadillac!  Everything is expensive.  Me personally, I'm just not will to take on another project and this one is a pricey one at that!
