  1. I think it's a piece of the frame from a car who donated front suspension for this '36 Chevy.
  2. No, this is not a lend lease vehicle. It was developed after WWII, but, of course, soviet engineers thoroughly examinated Ford GPA.😁
  3. I do not like this Lincoln - because of that self made spare tire hump. Also, there was no factory convertibles for this generation of Continentals, so it's a conversion, and I suspect, that soft top here is used from '71-'76 Eldorado. Yellow Mark III in that same ad for 7500$ seems like a better deal.
  4. Nice Cadillac, I like it - even if it's an entry level Cadillac. Looks like a well maintained car. Wide whitewall tires are a must.
  5. Nice car, but I do not believe in 39k miles - it seems, that the car has been repainted, top of the dashboard has been covered with vinyl for some reason, steering wheel deriorated. I am not Pontiac Catalina specialist, but is that seat material and overall looks correct?
  6. I don't think, that there ever was a 2 barrel 460. At least not in the seventies. Also this is not a variable venturi carburettor. I've said this already somewhere here in forum - I wouldn't call a mid seventies Ford 460 a very thirsty engine - on my '74 Mark IV, I easily can get around 12 mpg with original Motorcraft 4300 4 barrel carburettor.
  7. Nice car, that could be enjoyed as is. I like condition of the seats and interior. Biggest flaw on the outside of the car is not that paint scratch, but a vinyl top - in one of the photos you can notice problems with vinyl in C pillar area.
  8. No, no, it's a wrong coast, so it's not gonna happen.😁 But, yes, I agree - this Cadillac looks like a decent buy.
  9. https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/listing/1941-cadillac-62-eugene-or-2781970 Solid example of Cadillac's most popular pre-war model. I originally chose this one because it was a 3-speed, and it wasn't black but a nice navy blue. And, it has no serious rust. The previous owner reported spending some $25K on engine work, and I can attest to having driven the car on 100 mile trips. With its 346 c.i. motor, it will do highway speeds with ease and comfort, and still stop well. It has never overheated for me and can be locked when you are away from it. Most of its features work other than the radio - the clock even functions. It comes with the rare fender skirts, although it looks good without them as well. The dash and window sills have been wood-grained, and the heater warms the car well. Upholstery looks original, but I think a very good restoration. The paint could use a refresh but is usable as-is. Some receipts for work done come with it. Currently registered and plated. Senior owner is selling his cars.
  10. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1114311/1941-buick-super-model-51-sedan/ No reserve. Seems like a nice, original car. Not perfect, but original interior, compound carburetors. I would be interested in this car, but unfortunately I have no experience with auctions.
  11. https://providence.craigslist.org/cto/d/east-providence-1941-cadillac-series-62/7734532820.html 1941 series 62 Cadillac, 2 door coupe. Very original, 84 year old "survivor", stored indoors for many years. New gas tank, new tires, belts, hoses. Starts and runs fine. Very good, clean interior and original upholstery. Not too many photos, but seems like a decent, original car.
