Brooklyn Beer
On a very clean car. I like it for some reason. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-dodge-custom-royal-lancer/
JRHaelig
Wow. The art of finding just enough excess, then doubling it. 3 1

AdamInNH
Normally, I am not a fan of the fins on Dodge of this era compared to DeSoto or Chrysler. I like this particular car - a lot. And - it’s only 250 miles away. 🤪
Twisted Shifter
This Dodge sorta makes the '59 Impala look plain... rocketraider
I forgot about these when I called 58 Buicks and Oldsmobiles "Wretched Excess" in another thread.☺️ 1

John_S_in_Penna
An AACA member I know went to the Power Big Meet in Vasteras, Sweden several years ago. It is a show FAR larger than Hershey. They had SIX 1959 Dodge convertibles there, all in one location. I later spoke to a Swedish man, and he said they were trying for 10 of them. Only 6 could come. That shows how many finned cars are over there! Here is a picture of those Dodges in Sweden: Edited August 26, 2023 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history)
kingrudy
Very beautiful car, should sell for Big Bucks. I would prefer this car over a '59 Cadillac, but that is easy to day as the Cadillac wouldn't fit in my garage. rodneybeauchamp
Not surprised at the result. Seller has gone to a lot of effort to present it well with lots of photos, a good walk around and other videos showing things working, the inside dashboard pictures are amazing. And from the bidding war, all that effort paid off! Sharp looking Mopar in that colour scheme, very distinctive and different! Rodney 😀😀😀😀😀😀
Brooklyn Beer
I didn't see 85K in it but guessing times have changed from 8 years ago. Was tempted to toss 36K at it and boy was I wrong

CarNucopia
That looks fantastic. Great details. Whoever designed it was certainly not accused of being the first to put his pencil down and walk away from the drawing board.
