TerryB
So what are the big hooks in the trunk for? Why would you leave all that junk in there when taking photos to sell the car? Under the hood looks like it needs a good cleanup.
suchan
Big hooks might be used for moving bales of hay. Seller seems to think the "barn find" thing is worth an extra $10K, while buyers are instead wishing the owner could've taken a day to clean it up.
kingrudy
Don't know if the pic of the speedometer shows pitting, or dirt. Either way, this would make me worry about chrome issues and at 19K if you bought this car, it would be a tough sell down the road to recoup your investment.

John S.
The '54 is a scarce Delray model from the 210 series. The Delray featured an up graded color coordinated interior. The fire wall is light green. Nice Chevy.

Has sat in a Barn it’s entire life. This looks like a pretty nice car, for the most part. But, I start getting suspicious every time I see the word "Barn" or "Barn Find" mentioned in a for sale ad. The "Barn" reference seems to be, for some, a reliable trigger button that is almost certain to stir up interest. So, it has sat in a barn its entire life. Does that mean that the original owner, as a regular practice, parked the car in the barn every day or night? I become leery when I see the "B" word. It has become way over-used in the old car world.

hwellens
What is the big blank off of a hole in the firewall for? Maybe the heater fan motor is missing? Edited January 28, 2021 by hwellens add data (see edit history)
