Unsure on make and model of bus.

"Eddy at Gough,1930 - Student body on the steps of St. Paulus Lutheran Church (destroyed by fire 1995), with bus parked in front. The school purchased the bus in August 1929 (for $2,218). The thinking was it would help increase enrollment if children could be picked up and taken to school. (It worked: enrollment went from less than 30 to 58 for the fall session of 1929)"

1931 Buick. Series 60 I think - not one of the bigger ones.

Thanks nzcarnerd,  it was found with a group of photos for a 1930 Pontiac Cabriolet (see on next page 432). Hopefully those photos give us a better look for a positive ID.

Here's one of those better angles

Interesting photo.  The woman riding in the right rear seat is wearing period correct sunglasses.  The lenses are dark and most likely the color blue.  One does not normally see old photos of people wearing sunglasses but indeed they did wear them.  Blue was probably the most popular or most often purchased color lens, but there also were other colors such as shades of brown.  The driver is wearing a great looking Texas style Stetson dress hat.

The building is the SUTRO Baths, located near the famous San Francisco Cliff House, destroyed by arson in 1966. The ruins are owned now by the National Park Service.

Awesome little history lesson, thank you!  It appears the other lady might also be wearing shades.  I think the car might be a Pierce Great Arrow, with column shift.

Tom Dewey, Republican, campaigning for President in 1944.  He is somewhere in California based on the California state flag flying from the left bumper.

A 1939 Packard Twelve convertible sedan.  Notice the headlights have been changed to those sealed beam conversions that became common after the industry adoption of those as the standard for 1940.

The previous photo of Dewey said Market St SF.

This photo is probably from the same campaign parade. Note the TWA in the  upper right corner and the trailing car seems significant.
