8E45E
Nice to see another 'post' Fiesta being restored. They are rarer than the hardtop version. https://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/forum/your-studebaker-forum/stove-huggers-the-non-studebaker-forum/52229-orphan-of-the-day-05-02-1958-oldsmobile-88-fiesta?50956-Orphan-of-the-Day-05-02-1958-Oldsmobile-88-Fiesta=&highlight=fiesta Craig

It surprised me to find that in 1958, Olds built 3249 copies of the Fiesta Sedan wagon (with post) and 8498 copies of the Fiesta wagon (hardtop). The Sedan wagons were all Dynamic 88s. The hardtop wagons were about 35% Dynamics and the rest Super 88s.

8E45E
It is not a 'delete'. A clock was always an option on the 88 models. Craig

Craig I do not understand what you are saying, here. Probably me? If "a clock was always an option" then when one chose not to order that option instead of clock in that location a plate would with the Oldsmobile emblem, a.k.a. clock delete plate, would be installed. Would it not?

I used the term "clock delete" to identify the emblem plate in the housing on the dash (top/center) where a clock, if ordered, would have been installed. That may be the common name, as opposed to the official/technical name for the part.

Would it not? A 'delete' option is where it was standard equipment from the factory, but one could special order the car without it. Because a clock was an extra-cost option on that particular model, and it wasn't ordered, it had a 'plate' or 'blank' or 'cover', (depending what the parts catalog called it.) in its place. Does anyone have a 1958 Oldsmobile parts catalog that mentions it? Craig
D Yaros
Well, I understand your technical point, but in the end I do believe we are talking the same thing? In the 98 model if one special ordered -No Clock- the "plate, blank or cover" standard on the 88 would be installed and would then be called a clock delete. It would be really cool to see your car and the blue/white car that is here in Alberta parked next to each other, although that is not likely to happen with the distances involved. If your car has the optional 'New-matic Ride' air suspension, that would certainly be rare!! Rarer still would be one that was not converted to regular coil springs. 95Cardinal
Mirko 73, Your car would not have a Fisher Body tag. The station wagon bodies were made by Ionia Manufacturing, a Division of the Mitchell Bentley Corporation in Ionia, Michigan. I don't have any Oldsmobile body tag images, but here is a picture of an Ionia Body tag on a 1958 Buick. Your Oldsmobile tag would be the same size and shape, but the top 3 lines will be: Oldsmobile Motor Division General Motors Corporation Lansing, Michigan The tag is aluminum. It is 63,5mm wide x 100mm long and 0,3mm thick
