The claim in the ad may be true, but those guys are going to have to remove their top hats to sit in the back of that Buick!  Not like the good old days when a man could go to the opera and not have to worry about where to stash his hat while riding in his limo. 😁

If you look at most Buick ads from the fifties, the people illustrated are always smaller in proportion to the cars. Kind of like when Volkswagen started advertising their cars on television. They had Dustin Hoffman as their spokesperson.  At 5' 6" he made the little VW appear much bigger.

 

It looks like there's seating for four or five across the front seat in this ad. Typical. This guy could wear a top hat and still have headroom.
