So, what was the intent of the "S/R" option? I tried searching the internet and even the ROA site doesn't say what "S/R" actually stood for. Why wouldn't Buick have simply called it "GS"? Maybe the intent was more luxury than sport, but the first thing that comes to mind when I see the "S" is "Sport". I have no clue, however, what the "R" meant... The option was not limited to the Riviera, the Regal and Skylark had the same option.
