  1. Agreed with David, "it is such a superb original survivor".
  2. The seat on the running board would be an exciting ride!
  3. Gee, antigravity shelves. Where can I get some?
  4. With the very rare bumper mounted air filter!
  5. http://forums.aaca.org/topic/284505-1911-empire-motor-car/
  6. My daughter once announced, after she opened the boot(trunk) of the car, "Did you know there's a wheel in the boot?"
  7. The long lost original Jeepney?
  8. Or for Ford "Fix or repair daily" While Lotus " Lots of trouble usually serious "
  9. Also looks like later, rather than early, front fenders,
  10. Speaking of Leno's Doble, it was "spotted" in the infamous 2005 Trump video! Here's a link to the Facebook post it's in - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=352460328421818&set=gm.10154674896874973&type=3

    FRANKLIN photos

Some pic's of a 27 Franklin at a car display day here in Oz back in 2009.
  13. You gotta do it! Made the trip in 2012, it's a looooooong 14 hour flight from Sydney to LA, after that it's easy!
  14. In '37 Packard did have 120 Deluxe Touring Sedans and Limos on 138" wheelbases. http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/modelinfo/viewmodel.php?model=847
  15. Martin, You might try posting your request in the Oldsmobile Buy/Sell Forum - http://forums.aaca.org/forum/32-oldsmobile-buysell/ That way you'll get directly to guys who have Olds parts. Good luck!
  16. How did they get them up there in the first place?
  17. Could be some confusion because GT500 posted the '37 Chevy pics in the What is it? Forum. http://forums.aaca.org/topic/282474-what-is-it/
  18. There's a name inside the inner bottom of the grill opening, if someone could enlarge so it's readable might just tell us.
  19. "Car Serial# on the firewall is T-532-6395" Jeff, Probably "1582" which is a Special Six Clipper Touring Sedan A "1532" would be a Custom Super Eight One-Eighty Formal Sedan, a different beast altogether. When stamped by Packard the 1's look more like a capital "I: and could be mistaken for a capital "T" http://www.ebay.com/itm/Packard-CLIPPER-STANDARD-CUSTOM-LEAD-SLED-/262617595404?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3d253a7e0c:g:JsIAAOSwdIFXw6ys&item=262617595404
  20. Link to AACA Maxwell Forum - http://forums.aaca.org/forum/25-maxwell/ Post your query there together with photos and dimensions of the rear window and you should get an answer.
  21. Can't comment on your requests except for the rear opening window aspect. Because rearward vision in these cars is restricted, the value of having a rear opening window for visibility purposes when driving your car cannot be overemphasized. Plus I doubt you'll be out in the car on a rainy day anyway, maybe only if you get caught out by the unexpected!
  22. Arnold, Know you've found a pair of drums, but have a look at this thread - http://forums.aaca.org/topic/281894-renewing-brake-drums/#comment-1518471 and the posts by Ivan Saxton in particular.
