  1. G'day aschexy, From your avatar photo you appear to be in Sydney. If I've got that wrong please disabuse me of that notion! You say "Maybe they are.......old jeep", that gave me an idea(I know, dangerous!) that maybe they are Landrover? One way to probably confirm that is to check if they are made of aluminium(US = aluminum). If aluminium, then my next port of call would be the local Landrover club. Here's a link to the NSW Landrover Club if indeed you are in Sydney - http://www.lroc.com.au/ They hold their meetings at Denistone, just down the road from where I used to live, Eastwood.
  2. "1971 ford cortina mk3 with a 250CI inline six and a four speed" "Cortinas I knew had 1600cc 4's" Ford Australia built Cortinas with the Falcon 250ci Six! Also in Oz, Holden(GM) had Four, Six and V8 Toranas while Chrysler Australia made the Six cylinder Centura. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Centura
  3. As indicated by the coloured glass the mascot may be a re-pop. But originals like this were for '40-'42 Packard.
  4. According to his profile, the seller doesn't appear to have been back since he posted the ad. If he has his notifications set up maybe the way is to send a PM?
  5. The "Barfmobile" or "Maltese Falcon" is the same vehicle. Looks like someone has been creating digital mischief!
  6. Maybe no Peerless's(sp?) but there were a couple of Packard trucks. Hope DaveL is OK with posting his photo here!
  7. For the price this '41 120 Club Coupe, posted in the thread below on PackardInfo looks real good value. Still requires some work but all the major money spending areas seem to be covered, plus you should have change out of your budget! http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=12534&start=1073
  8. Daniels is in your original list but this recently turned up in another forum which mentioned them. Sharing it here - http://www.american-automobiles.com/Daniels.html
  9. But in the rear view of the sedan a right side steering wheel isn't visible!
  10. On Hemmings http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2015/05/05/rare-1932-devaux-scheduled-to-attend-the-2015-hemmings-motor-news-concours-delegance/?refer=news
  11. Could be the "covers" that go on the front end of the chassis rails an early '30's Packard. Here's a link to posts on PackardInfo where there are a couple of pic's of these type of frame end covers on a '34, see Posts #615 and #620. http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2179&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0&start=614
  12. Probably be better off you trying to contact the original poster. His last post was almost 4 years ago so it appears he doesn't frequent this site now.
  13. From PackardInfo - http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/modelinfo/viewmodel.php?model=887
  14. Clipper has been sold, see this thread on PackardInfo http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&type=&topic_id=14493&forum=8
  15. G'day Sharon, Sorry can't really help with the identification but the first picture to my mind shows two '20's buses while the 2nd pic is mid to late '30's maybe a Chevrolet? I'm sure I'll be "corrected" if I'm wrong!
  16. Why a "flying lady"? Isn't an Aussie dodecagonal 50 cent(not the Rapper) coin good enough?
  17. Jeff and Mike, If the Peerless truck has gone to Peter Jackson in NZ it's certainly gone to a good home. Many of the WW1 airplanes in his collection are on public display at the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre which was one of the stops during the NZ South Pacific Packard Clubs National Rally last year. And Jeff, You wouldn't have fared at all well bidding against one of Jackson's minions at an auction. The story goes that when an item is "wanted" his bidder just stands there with his hand up until all other bidders drop out! 18. Charlie, A restored '23 International truck. not mine, was listed some days ago. Looks ready to go, see this link. http://forums.aaca.org/f119/fs-1923-international-truck-388227.html
  19. Dick, See you at Hershey, will pick up on the Wednesday. Looking forward to a good read. Thanks
  20. Dick, I'll take it! See you at Hershey. Email me at ozstatman@gmail.com and we can work out the details, thanks.
  21. Looks like it's an old time bicycle light from the mount on it.
  22. Original post was in 2002, and the poster is now shown as a "guest" probably because he hasn't posted again in a long time. You'd probably be better served by trying to send an email to the address stated, that may work or not. In case it's worth something, there is a "pandamarie" on PackardInfo but he last logged in and posted in June of 2013 and his email address differs from the one above. 23. Googling, found this list of museums in Indiana http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_museums_in_Indiana I think it likely to find a Leader car in a museum in the state it was built in, that's if any survived.
  24. Craig, This from the Facebook link "There was a fair few pics of this floating around a few years ago. The guy who posted the pics claimed the car was sitting on a property in vic. He wouldn't let on where it was. Its got a stealthy panzer wagon look to it. Its pretty crude" and "The pics I saw showed the engine and a couple of other views. I think the guy hinted it was around echuca" Want to duck up to Echuca and nose around?
