  1. I hope to count myself among the number "wandering around the show field on Saturday" and getting to meet a few of you folk!
  2. A couple of thoughts, + 1: Clutch alignment tools, the wooden dowel looking type are very inexpensive; get one. Could it be that the clutch plate is installed backwards, causing the problem? Is the tranny close enough to the bell housing that the transmission bolts may be started and tightened? If yes, perhaps so doing so in gradual, alternating, steps may function to pop it in place?
  3. It was stated: only the "ACDelco.com" was blue-underlined, as in this sentence, rather than the whole string ending in ".html". Well, here is that entire link - http://www.ACDelco.com/auto-parts/vehicle-maintenance.html. Clicking on it does not yield anything but a 404 Not Found Error? I am not trying to be difficult or cause trouble. I am just confused in terms of what is going on. I will now stop beating a dead horse and drop this matter.
  4. The l The www.ACDelco.com/auto-parts/vehicle-maintenance.html. ink gives me a NOT Found Error? When I go to the ACDelco web site and do a search for either "lubricants," "dexron" or "dexos" I get a Your search dexos did not match any documents No Results So, what am I missing?

Is it me or what. In all 3 of these similarly titled posts all I see is a bunch of gobbley-gook code, no pics. How does one ID anything from it?
  6. As I ponder this subject, a thought that comes to mind is when there are club sponsored drives have the participants "adopt a youth" to accompany them on the ride.
  7. 463 = Green Go to this page and once there do a CTL F (find) for search term 463- https://www.hometownbuick.com/1955-buick/1955-buick-interior-trim-combinations/
  8. Try asking in the Buick forum, below. You may get a response quicker?
  9. Sadly, the vehicle in which she was riding on June 29, 1967 was a Buick; an Electra 225. The pic of it is too gruesome, but may be found here - www -DOT- findadeath -DOT- com/Deceased/m/Mansfield/Jayne%20CAR/mansfield%20crash.JPG
  10. Is that not Mariska Hargitay's mother? By Jane, I think I am right!
  11. I once owned a 1963 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 convertible that had an in-dash radio with a TV band. It was nice to be able to listen to programs like the Huntley-Brinkley Report during drive time at the end of the work day.
  12. Hmm, I wonder, is it a 7 passenger 2-Door Sedan?
  13. ???? My mother always said, "If you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all." Nothing at all.
  14. Am familiar with, and have contributed to, this web site. I will add, they are always looking for contributions. Just make sure that they do not already have what it is you are thinking of contributing.

  16. A valuable source for info/answers is the Cadillac-LaSalle Club Forum. Go there. You do not have to be a member to participate, but you may want to/should consider joining - http://forums.cadillaclasalleclub.org/ See you data plate questions were answered on the HAMB.
  17. Judging from the prices on the menu this has to be circa early 1950s? Also, one does not see anymore the option of ordering either Pepsi or Coke. That just does not happen in this day and age.
  18. 1st car ever drove: A 1948 Oldsmobile Futramic 98 (driven in the cemetery) Took Driver License Test in a 1956 Oldsmobile 98
  19. What is the reaction, I wonder, to use of the term "serious buyers only" in an ad?
  20. I just researched a purchase for a friend. I found the car listed in multiple places; one place claimed the car had 85K miles while another listed it as having 108K miles! I also found it listed at a price of $36K and an auction no sale high bid of $22k. It was interesting to see the various locations where the car resided, the various prices and a bit disconcerting to see the mileage discrepancies.
  21. hidden-hunter, thanks for the emedded link. I, and I am sure others here, appreciate. Have to say Edd showing class as he bows out.
  22. The pics raise the question of if there even is a frame anymore or if there is, in how many pieces is it?
  23. How about a link? I suspect many of us here would like to hear Edd's point of view.
  24. I (being the little guy 2nd from left) fondly recall the 1948 Furturamic
